We talk a lot about how phil is on his last legs but he's been visibly on edge for the past few months. His Patreon is struggling to hit goal, he's been dropping games left and right, and he won't shut up about how we shouldn't worry about the state of the channel. If we take the average of what socialblade says he earns + his patreon he makes around 5k a month, give or take. Now maybe a more modest livestyle could be sustained on that and whatever Leanna makes, but Phil lives in the lap of luxury and he's heavily in debt, plus he dropped what, at least 600 on PSVR? We are closer to DarkSydeDestruction that ever.

Did he ever have a goal, or an exit strategy or was it his idea that this would just go on forever?

If I had to guess phil hoped youtube would eventually lead to a more respectable career in GAMES JOURNALISM or a position at some game company doing PR. He seems to have given up on earning enough on youtube to retire early, and has so heavily ostracized himself making any meaningful gains in the community is out of the question. He's mostly likely hoping to end up at like, a Rooster Teeth style company where he just has to do shit on camera and let someone else do the heavy lifting.

He'll probably try to start another slap fight with some other Youtuber to get attention and, in his mind, get more PAYTREEN dollars from new people who come across him because of the drama.

It won't work, of course, because all anyone has to say is "Lol DSP" and move on. Though I agree that it feels like we're winding down to the conclusion of his lolcow saga. He'll eventually stop streaming/playing games (thank God almighty), Leanna will leave him, then he'll either move back home or end up on the streets because he's unemployable. 2017 will be an amazing year in so many ways for so many cows, I can just feel it.

YouTube, views, views, bullshit, views, people, views, people, adblocker, people, views, views, bullshit, YouTube, people, stuff, people, stuff.

Those three screencaps alone had the word views mentioned six times. People, five times, stuff twice, YouTube twice, bullshit twice, adblocker once.
Is his vocabulary also deteriorating?

He admittedly never had a backup plan.
Edit: I know it's a DSP video, but he himself says it here (11:42)

He never had an expansive vocabulary to begin with.

Alright, nominations confirmed, here are the voting results so far:

DSP has confirmed he'll play 3-4 of the games, as of now, Dino Crisis is in the lead (oh the salt, this is gonna be wonderful) with Condemned (lol, Phil, the original game was never released on PSN, only 360 and PC and it certainly wasn't emulated), Spooky, and Saw 2 being the runners up.
Layers of Fear seems to be catching up though.

So on the subject of potential sockpuppets, I found this little ditty

Only comment I could find of him was insulting someone in the comment section of a TIHYDP (Far Cry: Primal specifically) and the only bit of content on his proile are playlists of random playthroughs from DSPGaming

He's never going to finish Spooky's because of how long and unforgiving it is (1000 rooms, and only every hundredth room is a save point) and knowing him he'll probably try and skimp out of playing Condemned because it's not on PSN and he's too lazy correct himself and get it on the 360 - maybe that last part's a bit pessimisstic, but it honestly wouldn't surprise me

I can imagine Phil saying "Lemme see those feminist titties OMNOMOMONONOM ACK ACK ACK!" During the rape scene.

I heard Dino Crisis was a lot easier than RE. But it is much more puzzle heavy than RE as Derek Alexander stated in his review:

He'll love Layers of Fear because it's just a walking simulator. I don't even think Layers of Fear has puzzles. Spooky's House is pretty easy. It's just another walking simulator. It's also completely free so he'll probably play that one. Condemned is pretty easy but seeing as this is Phil he's probably going to be unable to adapt to the melee combat.

Didn't Grabbed by the Ghoulies really suck?

He's still gonna suck at all of the games, regardless.
DC is still gonna kick his ass at some point, stream chat or not (Although it can help with the puzzles. Expect to see Phil magically knowing the solution to something), and in Condemned's case, it will depend upon his skills and reflexes. Stream chat can't really help him out there, especially when it comes to reflexes and thinking on the fly when faced with a tough opponent.

Spooky's is more akin to games like Amnesia or Outlast where you have to run away from enemies out to kill you - unlike a walking simulator, there's an actual fail-state, and the game does have combat (albeit minimal) and at one point you need to hide as you search for the exit in a giant mansion - the game is meant as a love letter to the horror genre as a whole and the slew of games within it

Grabbed By The Ghoulies did really suck however, yes - it also has puzzle rooms with very strict time limits where failure is punished with instant death (or well, the Grim Reaper pops up and if he so much as touches you you're dead), so that's going to be a whole heaping of fun

As long as Dino Crisis is in one of the top three spots, I'll be happy. Doubly so if chat can't help him at times with the puzzles, since some of them are kind of naff. As for it being easier, I reckon it is somewhat, but this is Phil. He isn't very smart or good at item management or mixing what he needs.

I wouldn't say it SUCKED, but it's definitely not great. There's plenty of missions that can be pretty rage inducing, and the Baron can change your HP from room to room, leaving you with either full or with one hit left and there are very few health pick-ups. There's a trick to always get double what he leaves you, but I think it requires you to die at least once.

I played a little bit of Spooky's and it seemed like a walking sim to me. I had to stop because I was getting bored with it and something about it was making me motion sick. Thanks for the info.

I still think Phil will play it just because it's free.

Well, Spooky takes forever to get genuinely difficult. Phil'd probably get salty on the sixth specimen since it has a weeping angel style mechanic. 12 would also give him salt due to the hiding mechanics.
