Had a bad cavity that was not fault of mine. Molar position that didn't allow floss to reach pieces of food that stuck easily. Got a lateral cavity and had to get a root canal. Not only that, after that, I broke one of the horns of my tooth. Had to get the horns removed through surgery. I could see my bone through a hole in the mirror the dentist showed me. I'm brushing 3 times a day after that and even though I wasn't careless, I don't want to go thought dental surgery ever again :feels:

One of my teeth cracked in half a couple years ago and I lost half of it and it was painful as all fuck. It got infected and abcessed and holy shit was it ever incredibly fucking painful. Eventually the swelling and shit went down and the pain went away. About a month or two ago the rest of it broke off and fell out. Luckily that wasn't really that painful though. Now there's just some broken stubs sticking up from the gums.

It was all because of a dentist when I was like 12 or 13 or something like that. We switched dentists and on the first visit he did an x-ray and said I had a cavity. End up going to get it filled, he starts drilling gets about halfway down and suddenly he's like 'oh wait there's no cavity in there. Well better put a filling in.' So the fucker drilled into my tooth for no reason and eventually the partial filling fell out and I guess the tooth just rotted away from the inside out. The whole inside of the tooth was basically hollow and black.

It sucks. I'm missing a tooth now and it's retardedly expensive to get it fixed so now I'm just stuck with it all because of some shitty quack dentist I went to like twice as a kid.

I grew up poor, and my family had poor hygiene habits so I didn't really brush my teeth growing up. Half of my teeth rotted away before I was 25. I was enduring cavities, complete decay, and constant pain for years before that. I also overdosed on pain meds once because of it. I had a steady diet of aspirin and or ibuprofen for years too. Most of my molars no longer had crowns, and were just exposed blackened roots and nerve. They were like that for so long, the nerves died in a few of them. By the time I got to the dentist, they had to pull a ton of the dead roots. Including my wisdom teeth. I had to endure 2 sessions with just Novocain, where they extracted 5-8 teeth in one (can't remember), and 3 in the other. The first extraction literally took 5 hours, because the dentist literally had no way of yanking them out. So he had to drill into my jaw and pry them out. He also had to use a literal dental crowbar, and I thought he was going to crack my skull open. Most of them came out in literal pieces that exploded, that I almost choked on a few times. It was that difficult. Dentist said it was the hardest thing he has ever done in his entire career. The 2nd session lasted a whole 30 min, and the guy got 3 of them out easy as fuck. (different dentist too).

I got pics of the teeth they pulled if anyone is interested.

Managed to get health benefits later to fix up the rest, and it cost upwards of 7k$ in 2012. So now I just got my front teeth and no molars to eat with. I also now have a very firm brushing schedule. I also found out due to malnourishment my teeth are somewhat softer than they are suppose to be. So I also definitely avoid soda.

The main reason I'm still a virgin at almost 30. Just keep getting bounced from one doctor to the next....."Go see XYZ, he/she is great, they'll take care of it." "Oh, I'm not sure if I can fix this, go see XYZ, he/she is great, they'll take care of it."

Fuck bro, throw a couple of years of meth and pills on that and it's like we lived the exact same life.

Just recently got my credit repaired to the point I can start down the road to getting everything fixed/replaced, and I've already racked up just under 8k, but fuck if it doesn't feel fantastic not thinking about dropping dead from my teeth poisoning me and my family left destitute.
