This whole "losing virginity as a teenager" thing never sat with me well. It's always talked about like you must have sex before you hit your 20's or else you're not normal. From my experience I was never judged by this prism, nor did I judge others by it. Maybe once I talked to a classmate in high school that told me he's not a virgin and once with my friends that are older than me that admitted that they're virgins. And then it was never brought up again, a little meaningless side fact.
Is this some sort of US culture thing only where it's super important that you fuck when your hormones are still buzzing? And that your "body count" is all that matters, and not, you know, starting a family as soon as possible like your parents did? To have kids? Because if you're not aiming for that, your active sex life is as important as a life of a virgin. If you're not procreating, it doesn't matter and you shouldn't care so deeply about it.
