Everyone and their grandmother is shilling this show, I'm going fucking insane. Steam community of Fallout games, ShillTube, some 4chan posts, might have seen someone mention it in NoMutantsAllowed but I don't remember if it was positive or negative, etc. I know normies outnumber us by a fuck ton but God damn it never ends, the shilling is everywhere. Anyone who speaks out against it is REEEEEEEE'd at and I fear we might get a season 2 because of how many normies liked it. What's worse are the people who go "critics liked it so it had to be good" as if critics aren't the biggest shills imaginable. "It's got high ratings on Rotten Tomatos!" Oh you mean the site that has come out and straight up said they fake reviews? "Oh but my favorite (((YouTuber))) likes it!" Ok? Who cares? Do people liking or disliking something affect your ability to like or dislike something? Besides, they do it for free...shilling that is. Aren't many YouTube "critics" that are honest these days, let alone Fallout YouTubers. If you're looking for unbiased reviews, you'll have better luck reading a transcript of the show or watch it yourself (don't) if you want honesty.

The slippery slope to deleting/banning commentators is bad regardless of intention. I mean YouTube isn't the same in the past, the site has autofilters, shadowbans, algorithm fuckery, removal of disliking and falseflagging/copyright takedowns e.t.c... Back then it would have been a big deal if a creator did any of those things, espically having a patreon on the side too.
But if SyntheticMan really cares about actual comments or getting Mad at shills, just don't engage those YouTube comments.

None of these ideas just sprang up out of the ground.
They're all based on real-world knowledge and experience.

apolitical as in not taking a side on communism vs capitalism, not as in refusing to deal with political themes... amazon have gone as far as saying "communist is just what they call people who aren't insane" in the tv show which is incredibly biased not to mention naive.

The story was never about who fired the nuke (ZOMG IT WAS VAULTTEC, THEY'RE THE EVIL CAPITALISTS), it was about the nuke being fired and civilisation rising from the ashes. (Fallout 1 and 2 intros are really good on establishing the back story and theme of Fallout).
