it was pretty bad for millenials in the 2000s with the "men bad" shit now it's just like infinitely worse and infinitely more fake and clout based.
Look at the media from the time. Men were commonly portrayed as fat, bumbling idiots, uncaring, selfish, emotionally broken, or as violent sociopaths. Or they were rapists by default, who needed to be "educated" to not rape. Any sort of male bonding or male-exclusive activity was ridiculed as subconsciously homosexual.
Still sounds more subtle than the blatant in-your-face commie propaganda they try to force-feed guys in Current Year.

What annoys me about this take is that it's reached a kind of meme status, meaning people repeat it without question.
As an example of how bad it's gotten, there was that one scene in Black Panther (201comes to mind where the "sympathetic" villain steals an artefact from a museum because British soldiers stole it.
But of course, when Museums do give art and artefacts back to the barely functional third-world holes that they came from, they promptly disappear into the hands of private collectors, no longer to be displayed museums where millions of people can see them for free. Such as what happened with the Benin Bronzes. If they do this to the British Museum, it would be a travesty.

It's not even called the "British Royal Museum" for fuck's sake. It's just the "British Museum". But I guess they subconsciously added "Royal" because it sounded more wealthy and aristocratic.
I’ve seen the concept of “what if the races were reversed in the Trans-Atlantic slave trade?” and I always found it lazy and stupid that they just made Europeans black and Africans white instead of writing an alternative history where Africa colonizes the rest of the world. That’d actually take effort, including actually understanding African culture and history.
Back then it was called "progressive stack:. "Woke" in it's current usage is a distortion of a sarcastic distortion used to refer to people pushing this shit online. For like 5 or 6 decades back till now (though used a lot less the last 5 years) the original "Woke" was a slang term that basically a variant on "based" with a slightly different meaning tied to being aware of malicious manipulation, usually by authority figures. Essentially current year "woke" is the kind of people you were supposed to stay woke about. Part of the reason i think the sarcastic usage became the main usage is the same people that introduced the progstack shit via clearly inserted activist actors to break up OWS noticed it and decided to make it the "opposite side" buzzword, further diluding the public's awareness by literally subverting a term that was describing what kind of mentality led to OWS in the first place so the metaphorical crabs at the lower rungs of society are just constantly at each others throats and shit flinging terms that used to mean things at each other as insults.
