Dragon's Dogma

So, I finally got to try out this True Warfarer mod (it's back to Nexus) and it seems to work pretty well. I more or less managed to recreate Assassin experience to some extent. It also allows you to slot in the meister skills as well. Basically how it works is that you get a menu in REframework where you can set up skills you want. You have to slot in Rearm however. So it will be 3 skills for each weapon. It seems to follow which ones you've unlocked, so if you try to slot in skills that you hadn't unlocked then it just sets it no 'none' when you switch. Seems pretty good so far.

Cool so I CAN bolide spam with my pawn now.
I wish magick bows weren't so ass though. But at least staff bolts seek now too.

Ricochet bolt is still the number one room clearing skill, and I have enjoyed mogging entire dungeons thoughtlessly. It may not be challenging but it is hilarious.

It's so weird and nonsensical how you can like large breasts or hourglass figures if you're Chinese or Japanese but if you live in the west you have to pretend Debra Wilson is the pinnacle of feminine beauty or else everyone looks at you like you're Ted Bundy or something.

The modern world is so fucking weird.

So, since the game's been out for a while, was wanting to ask; what's you guy's thoughts on the different Vocations? Which ones do you guys think are fun, and which ones do you think are crap? Is Thief really as overpowered as some say? Are the archery Vocations good? And what about the Warfarer?

Thief is definitely OP. I started NG+ as thief lvl 1 and all I had in my inventory was some unupgraded ice daggers I'd snagged on first run. Basic vocation armour. I was immediately wrecking and freezing bosses straight off the bat, felt instantly more powerful than Fighter with full vocation lvl 10 and dragon forged end game gear. Fighter is super fun class, not least because it's relatively weak and stamina hungry, so brings back some challenge. Warrior is probably most fun though. Mystic Spear was good for a bit, but annoying, it decimates bosses but gets easily stunlocked by goblins and wolves. Ditching its invulnerability spheres might make for a fun and somewhat challenging run. Not tried either archer type or Warfarer yet.

started playing as trickster. its ass. all you do is buff pawns and fear the enemy. dont bother setting up fake floors, its not worth the hassle. makes me mad mystic knight and assassin died for this.

tried Mystic Spear too and it was, ok. the shield is maybe the best skill in the game since you can just spam it to avoid damage. alot of moves feel weak or only usable against fooder enemies. the class really miss a good STAB move against big enemies. wild dance is ok but eats alot of stamina fast and the laser is really unpredictable at times.

I think my favorite Spearhand skills are the master art for it which has you teleporting directly into enemies' faces and slapping the shit out of them, and the one that lets you throw staggered mobs around with telekinesis. The laser beam attack is kind of useful but it's kind of like a shitty version of Heavenly Shot.

Trickster is a class that would be great for pawns or if this were an actual co-op. Like it's fine to have a zero damage support class, but its not fun to play when you're supporting janky AI that you can only command in simple ways like "stay, go, help, come". Trickster feels like something that either came from Dogma Online or would have fit in better there.

Wait this game has Enigma, not Denuvo, or both?
It has Denuvo for certain, they list it on the Steam page. I'm fairly sure Enigma's also there, since it was in the character creator demo, but I don't recall if somebody proved definitively or not, I might have missed it earlier in the thread.

Just finished the game and got the true ending
Good game but not $70 good
Good
1. Pawn is smarter
I like when the pawn can lead me to some chest to campsite based on their experience.
In true ending, high affinity pawn has special cutscenes.

So bad that Capcom needs to be hanged:
1. Soundtrack
The soundtrack is very underwhelming, most just ambience.
DD1/DDDA has the best night OST.

2.No memorable character
I like some of the characters like not-Legolas and ulrika. And maybe not-Yennefer.
TFW no big booba merchant that wants to extort borrow gold from me.

3. NG+ scaling does not exists.
Use mods for more fun experience.

The more I play DD2 the more I become certain that Istuno once again got lost in the sauce, had to cut a significant chunk of the game(remember he claims they had to cut 80% of the first game out. 80%!), and had to rush the game out cause Capcom saw how long this shit was taking for what has amounted to zero improvement upon the original. Other than graphical quality and animations, nothing has been improved upon from the first game at all. 5 years with a larger budget and team, and all we got was better graphics and more weighty animations :story: Maybe istuno should have taken the DD2 option when first given the choice instead of doing DMC5.

The only people I've seen who don't think this game is just a better looking rehash of the first, with a slew of backsteps, are the retarded fanboys who unironically believe the first game is going to be looked back on as some industry shaking, genre defining masterpiece. And these fanboys, of course, are saying the same for this one. Which has always been a butt fucking retarded statement, but whatever.

Yeah its the first game all over again.

Allegedly they have Denuvo, their own proprietary DRM and Enigma. As said before, I haven't seen confirmation for Enigma, but knowing Capcom it's probably in there.

Afaik it was proven for char creator demo (sorta understandable I guess since it was out before release), but no one proven it for main game yet.
