I don't think Pat was claiming he was a navy veteran on his tweet. I believe that for some reason, he was trying to make a joke/take a dig at navy veterans, implying that their branch/job is easy and he could do it. I'm not sure what his deal is with them.

There's s cut off of either 35 or 36 I don't remember but it's not a hard line after that you just need some extra medical examinations to make sure you're healthy enough. I think the record for basic training is like 42.

I think something that gets overlooked is that Bernell was reportedly an extremely well-liked member of the community, without some rogue's gallery of enemies. Pat is on a rather short list of people with negative interactions with the man.
Just looking at the "negative" evidence (aka, here's who it couldn't be, by process of elimination) puts Pat in a very small cross section of the population, and everything else just makes it look more suspicious. The tomato-red selfie with what appear to be chaffing/friction marks from fabric, such as what would be worn to conceal one's identity, in the middle of hot-ass July no less. The weird and seemingly impromptu trip he took to visit his MiL just after (coincidentally, right near a lake). The EXTREMELY uncharacteristic social media blackout that occurred in the couple weeks after the shooting from him. If it was just one thing, I'd be able to dismiss it all as a weird coincidence, and a morbid joke, but there's just too much.

that grainy footage could be literally any random cheap bike, guaranteed there are tens of thousands in the city that would match

regarding "the type of firearm" - is it even public knowledge what caliber bullet the guy was shot with, or do the cops keep that info to themselves?
from the shitty camera footage alone all we can tell is that it's a handgun, no idea which of the thousands of handguns in the city it is.
