Debate users @Lidl Drip and @Mr Bones Wild Ride on if skintight leggings are appropriate workout attire.

you're a self-admitted gymrat who wears clothing that someone like Lidl would find trashy.
Yeah and?
The point of me divulging that was to counter her argument that there is no reason for a woman to wear that.

I don't care what Lidl thinks of me kek. Does anyone on this forum?
She's clearly very insecure and worried about imaginary women with their boobs out stealing her man.
I think that's why you're being unreasonably autistic about this. Stay off the gear.
Okay so we all have to agree with everything she says even if it's fucked up and retarded because otherwise...?

And don't tell me what to do
By the way, if someone's opinion about the clothing you personally wear makes you upset, that's a YOU problem.
As said before, I don't give a fuck what she thinks of what I do.
I gave examples and backed up my argument and she went "b-b-b-but it makes ME uncomfortable" and I called her out for being an inconsistent turd. That man she posted about from Reddit was made uncomfortable by ugly women and she's uncomfortable about women wearing tight clothing. Same logic, different retards.

If this was a man in the woman-hate thread, you'd be bookmarking his posts for later arguments because it's nonsensical fucking garbage.

you're getting yourself worked up and yes, you are overreacting.

like I said, stay off the gear.

Lol. Lmao even.

Lidl: <posts non-stop screenshots of men complaining about women's attractiveness , clothing, dancing because it upsets them>
"Look at how angry these moids are at women existing, living their lives, and having fun"
Also Lidl: "women wearing tight/revealing clothing makes this moid uncomfy, and it makes me uncomfy, and they have no reason to wear those clothes. 😞"

Me: "You're a fucking hypocrite"

Lurker: "Nooooo, this is her hugbox! You're a junkie why are you getting so mad and overreacting REEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

The "no u" doesn't work on me, slutguts.
Only the two of you are getting worked up about this - if you don't want to be made fun of then don't act like a contradictory retard parroting Matt Walsh/RW talking points about the evil things white women do such as making autists/incels uncomfortable with our wardrobe choices.

This is an off-topic board - I am allowed to disagree with her and you.

Ladies, ladies, you're all autistic. Calm down!

Even if you disagree with what people wear to the gym, equating it to "live porn" is a bit dramatic. Kudos to the guy for trying to stay so loyal to his wife that he doesn't even gaze lustfully upon other women (Matthew 5:28).

These idiots. Aside from the obvious "ooh I can't help myself like any normal male why must they be such temptresses" garbage, the "these days" and "I yearn for the old days when men did not have to be so forced into lust in their heart" sticks in my craw.

Here are some recreational/ casual/ workout outfits (and even one work uniform) from 40-80 years ago. Form-fitting, skin-showing, body outlining. Random selection. And yet somehow, even despite compression bras being the norm in tops now and absent in these, it's "oh, modern society sluts in their midriff-baring tops and spandex bottoms ruin my purity, the sky is falling, I can't be blamed, etc."

Skin-fitting fashion has been the norm in gyms for ever, although it is inarguable that people tend to show more actual skin overall now than they did then. Some of these looks are so cool and I wish they would come back (not the working out in heals bit).

Yeah nah, respectively disagree.
I am a certified gymrat and there is a reason for it.
For a lift sesh, I will only wear a bra and scrunch bum leggings or shorts.

This is so either my trainer or my spotter (or me using the mirrors) can check my form and make sure I'm activating the right muscle groups.
When your body starts to fatigue, your form starts to drop off and its easier to spot wearing less clothing/form fitting clothing.
Wearing the bum scrunch helps to identify if my left glute is being a lazy fuck and not engaging properly. Glute imbalance can fuck you right up (pelvic instability) so it is an important thing to check.

Even when doing things like pilates (either reformer or mat) its helpful having compression wear as a reminder of form (engaging the powerhouse, tucking the tailbone etc)
I've been in the gym scene for a while and I have never heard this in my life (wearing less clothing so you can "see" if you're engaging certain muscle groups or wearing tight clothing to remind you of proper form). I'll start by saying that the main purpose of scrunched leggings/shorts is to lift your ass and make it look bigger, which you would think would interfere with your ability to visually evaluate your ass engagement accurately. Below are several links from gymwear stores where they say that a main purpose of scrunch bum is to make your ass look more appealing, a literal optical illusion. Probably designed by men.

Here, here, here

Having a crack-scrunched ass does not affect your trainer's ability to evaluate your leg/pelvic/shoulder alignment or tell if you're listing backwards or to the side. You shouldn't need someone visually tracing the outline of your ass to tell you if you're engaging your left glute or not. There are few exercises where you are able to look at the muscle you're engaging in the mirror (only upper body exercises come to mind), unless you're squatting parallel to the mirror and twisting your head to the side to watch yourself, which is unfathomable. If you need to wear compression leggings to remind yourself to have proper form during pilates then you're mentally deficient. Obviously wearing sweat pants is going to hinder your ability to check your form (and could even be a hazard), but leggings vs teeny shorts and bra vs clingy top is no difference. Most gymwear marketed toward women is designed to make you look sexier (not so with men). This is not a revelation.

If your trainer told you to wear a bra and asscrack shorts so he can check your form, then he is indeed staring at your body, but not for the reasons you think. Showing a lot of skin has two purposes, to keep your body temp down (perfectly valid) and to show off your body (perfectly valid, but people will criticize you for it and sexualize you for it and you're gonna have to accept that). Anything else is cope. And men will stare at you sexually more often if you show a lot of skin. To deny this is also cope. I don't care if you found a picture of some people in your country who went to vote after a beach trip. You can get mad all you want but this is a man-hate thread and I don't care for your protestations about men in the gym not lusting after you because Australia is so much more advanced than the rest of the world. Your chimpout over some people saying they don't like bum scrunch shorts is frankly bizarre. Wear bum scrunch shorts all you want. Some people won't like it. Why do you fucking care? Wear what you want to wear, but don't pretend bum scrunch shorts aren't primarily designed with the benefit of the person ogling your ass in mind.

And yes I wear some ass scrunch leggings. I wear them because they're comfy and I got them on sale. When I wear them, I wear a looser shirt that covers my bum. I noticed less men looking at me when I did this. Shocker.

To throw in some man-hate of my own, I am extremely tired of men in my workplace constantly bitching, skipping processes and then wondering why there are issues later on, hyper-focusing on minor details while ignoring big issues affecting workflow and processes, slacking off whenever they think they can get away with it, shittalking their coworkers, and generally causing constant problems in the workplace.

I've been in the gym scene for a while and I have never heard this in my life (wearing less clothing so you can "see" if you're engaging certain muscle groups or wearing tight clothing to remind you of proper form).
Then you’re either an idiot or a liar.
Being able to see that I am actually engaging my lats during a lat pulldown instead of using my biceps is one example where just wearing a sports bra helps someone see if you’re engaging the right muscles. Same with wearing shorts/form fitting leggings when doing Bulgarian split squats.
Wearing loose clothing just means that at certain points, your trainer will put their hands on you to check for muscle engagement because they can’t see it.
They are a form of compression garment – compression garments such as tight leggings etc are known to improve performance and aid recovery.

Literally the first result in Google: https://www.sportpsychologytoday.co...ths-facts-benefits-and-everything-in-between/

And I already said “Well, if you wear these clothes you can’t bitch about people paying attention to you in the gym” so I don’t know what the fuck you’re trying to argue here?
Having a crack-scrunched ass does not affect your trainer's ability to evaluate your leg/pelvic/shoulder alignment or tell if you're listing backwards or to the side. You shouldn't need someone visually tracing the outline of your ass to tell you if you're engaging your left glute or not. Again, you’re straight up lying or dumb here.
As said before, a GOOD trainer should be checking your form and if they’re unsure because they can’t see the muscle groups clearly, they will actually physically touch you to make sure you get the right muscle activation.

My weights rooms have mirrored walls. You can see what you're doing pretty easily. It reflects back into another mirror lol.
If you need to wear compression leggings to remind yourself to have proper form during pilates then you're mentally deficient.
I said it helps and as in the link above, compression garments literally help stabilise muscles. Your argument does not make any sense. The point of them is for stability which aids form/technique. Like running...and pilates.
Obviously wearing sweat pants is going to hinder your ability to check your form (and could even be a hazard), but leggings vs teeny shorts and bra vs clingy top is no difference. Most gymwear marketed toward women is designed to make you look sexier (not so with men). This is not a revelation.
If you think sports bras are erotic, you are mentally deficient – this isn’t Victoria Secret.
Proper sports bras look more like pooner chest binders than anything sexy.
:story:
And teeny shorts are bad and restrictive!!!

Except athletes run in them literally all the fucking time, swimmers swim in them, AFL players play in them etc.
You are again, just straight up fucking lying.
If your trainer told you to wear a bra and asscrack shorts so he can check your form, then he is indeed staring at your body, but not for the reasons you think.
I go to an all female gym and have said that at least twice? in this thread.

I have no idea what your fucking point is here.
Showing a lot of skin has two purposes, to keep your body temp down (perfectly valid) and to show off your body (perfectly valid, but people will criticize you for it and sexualize you for it and you're gonna have to accept that). Anything else is cope.
And? I can cope with that. I’m not the one having a tanty because my hypocrisy was pointed out. I'm laughing at someone who mocks men for having the same opinions that she holds.
Hang on, I took issue with a woman saying “I agree that this married moid is allowed to feel uncomfortable in the gym because gym outfits are salacious. Also it makes me uncomfortable” despite her constantly malding when a man or pickme says that about other women.

I used my country as an example of how to get over yourself because who gives a fuck what other people are wearing. Cope and move on with your life. Stop shitting on women because you're worried a moids eyes may stray and you want to portray yourself as some uWu weird tradwife creature.

Men literally sexualise infants, chimps and lizards. Clothing literally does not fucking matter.
I didn't chimp out. I'm allowed to push back on a woman who is simping for males. If anyone else had expressed this retarded opinion, we would not be discussing this at all and she would have been threadbanned.

Nearly every single post Lidl makes is some variation of moid complaining about a woman doing something because it makes them upset. When she AGREES with a moid complaining about a woman because it makes him upset, and like him, she also thinks certain workout gear is gross, then I am going to call this out because that is fucking lunacy.
And yes I wear some ass scrunch leggings. I wear them because they're comfy and I got them on sale. When I wear them, I wear a looser shirt that covers my bum. I noticed less men looking at me when I did this. Shocker
You do you sis, I literally don’t care about what other women are wearing.
I thought that was pretty fucking clear.

That's literally the argument for Burqas.

Who decides what is and isn't appropriate? And which comfort level are we using again?

And it isn't "wrong" but it sure is bitter harpy energy

No one is getting mad here lmao.
Stop taking the internet so seriously for fucks sake.

I'm/We're allowed to disagree with her even if you don't like it and it has no relationship to emotional investment in the arguments presented.

She quite literally said in the Man Hate thread that she agreed with a man who didn't like how a woman was dressed because it made him uncomfortable and it makes her uncomfortable.
I disagree and think that's stupid and have said so and given reasons why.

What are you even talking about?
Who is overreacting again?
:story:
Will you please Stop arguing about clothes? You are playing right into the scrote’s trap. They will sexualize women no matter what they’re fucking wearing to the gym.

Tbh leggings are a wardrobe staple for me, but I layer them under a skirt or dresses, using them instead of pantyhose. They don’t roll or tear or any of that bullshit, they’re way more comfortable than hosiery, and I don’t have to worry so much about wardrobe malfunctions and creep shots.
meanwhile i told her to stop overreacting, which she responded to by... overreacting.
🤷‍♀️ can’t fix MATI with logic and appeals to calm down, I guess.

Yeah no shit. Which is why you shouldn't agree with moids when they tell women how to dress.

You keep posting embarrassing shit in your thread even though you've been told repeatedly that it just feeds the moid rage and they're feeding off your tardcum. You keep doing it because you relish the attention they give you.

You're a moron. But I can't fault you for this behaviour because this is a lolcow forum and you are dumb and hilarious.
meanwhile i told her to stop overreacting, which she responded to by... overreacting.
:story:
"Nooo don't point out pick me behaviour"
Overreacting is you coming to whinge here in something that you weren't involved in.

Lidl puts everyone she doesn't like or can't refute on ignore - she doesnt need you here to protect her from me. She knows where the button is and how to summon a janny. Why are you overreacting to a disagreement?

Why is this now an "overreaction" when I am doing the exact same thing to Lidl that I did to the moids that both of you were fine with and kept egging me on?

I don't need you to answer because I already know what you're going to say "REEEEE CLAM DWOWN!!!11"
🤷‍♀️ can’t fix MATI with logic and appeals to calm down, I guess.
Again - playing into misogynistic stereotypes -
"Oh you're being so catty and mad. Don't disagree with moid logic when it comes from Lidl Drip."

Who is mad here? I've always argued with dumb swamp donkeys on here.
But now I'm "MATI" because I disrupted the hugbox.

Let me ask a simple question, if Blobby Whatever The Fuck, Otterly, The Feline Solution, or PaladinSkitzo had said what Lidl said - would we being having this conversation? I guarantee we wouldn't. You would have dogpiled them for being a pickme and I know this, because you've done it for less.

Lol. Lmao even.

@Mr Bones Wild Ride we're just telling you to calm down

you're freaking out because a woman on the internet has negative opinions about the gymwear you happen to wear. that's it. then you started chimping out.

PUT DOWN THE GEAR GORL
Oh Jesus Christ - not sure if you're retarded or just being obtuse. I do not give a singular fuck what Lidl thinks of what I may or may not wear to the gym. This is a lolcow forum

Her words were "I agree with the moid who took issue with the way a woman was dressed"
And when pressed said that she would feel uncomfortable seeing a woman wearing booty shorts if she was in the presence of a male.
Which is retarded pick me behaviour.

Why don't you calm down? You don't have to keep replying to me if it upsets you so much

sure seems like you do by the way you're carrying on
By that logic, I can assume that you and Lidl are actually super jealous of PaladinSkitzo and Blobby because you keep harping on about those two even though they fucked off ages ago

It's just like weird fucking seethe from the both of you about it. It's non stop. Even this - everyone is moving on and you HAVE to get the last word in. I'm arguing with you because it's funny to me how disproportionate the response has been because I called out ONE user.

And again, no comments about me being MATI when I called others out for being slagmolls.

Don't be a pickme bitch and I won't call you out for being one. Simple

bitch you're mad because a woman told you that she thinks trashy clothes are trashy and that she happens to share that same opinion with a moid

don't come in here being an argumentative bitch and expect everyone in here to tolerate it.

YES NEW THREAD BABY

bitch you're mad because a woman told you that she thinks trashy clothes are trashy and that she happens to share that same opinion with a moid

She literally said "Look at this asshole for complaining about a woman's appearance because she's ugly"

Then said "Oh I agree with this man who complained about a women's appearance"
Probably because leggings in the gym make her feel fat and insecure

And I am not allowed to point out that this is inconsistent and pick me behaviour?

GORL what the fuck?

Can't wait for A&H moids who usually argue for how based Islam is for making their women wear a burka and how all western women are now whores to argue that women wearing glorified underwear to the gym is actually awesome just because they don't like me, kek.

I have nothing more to say on this topic, enjoy the slapfight you clearly wanted.
