He's thinking the Democrats can shut down any bill in the Senate, and any time this happens, the Republicans are always blamed. It's just how America works. If Republicans shut down the government because the Democrats insist on having some particular spending item, it's the Republicans' fault for holding the government hostage to 0.1% of the budget. When the Democrats shut down the government down over a Republican spending item, like they did in 2019, it's the Republicans' fault for insisting on some item they knew the Democrats wouldn't accept.

Republicans are competitive with likely voters, but on Election day, ballot boxes in Detroit get stuffed with votes by people who never actually went to the polls.

That's why when Newt did it he was re-elected in a landslide, and the GOP held the house until Dubya screwed the pooch with the GWoT.
The sooner "GOP" who care more about CNN than their voters are purged, the better.

The GOP have been "punished" for half-hearted shutdowns where they have caved rather than held and for egregious violations of civil rights associated with DUBYA that poisoned the GOP's brand with millennials forever.

Cuck rags like national review LOVE to revise the history on things like this.

As I understand it, the basis for his lawsuit is that the gag order prevents him from collecting and disseminating information about the court case as a member of the press, and it is unconstitutional.

I am not Joe's biggest fan but I do give him props for actually making an effort to get this this gag bullshit overturned. He explains his arguments here:
