I might be being generous, but I don't think that's what he meant. "Factor in my decision to go to war," sounded more like he's more reluctant to fight for tranny rights because trannies are generally so repugnant that personal familiarity actually makes them less sympathetic to normal people. Basically, he's embarrassed of them and their general behavior both online and irl that he doesn't want to associate with them, let alone make his flaccid, self-serving attempts to further their cause, despite being one of them. End of the day this is the problem with troons. They keep focusing on individual identity and perceived oppression of their chosen identity that they increasingly divide into smaller and smaller minorities. That massive group of small minorities will only unite to dogpile anyone, including one of their own, but will immediately go back to promoting and pushing forward their exclusive self interest at the expense of everything (and everyone) else. The end point of all of this behavior is you'll no longer have a unifying rally point, just a bunch of individuals claiming to be and arguing over what the rallying point should be about as they've all fallen out over time and lost any form of unifying identity or purpose.

Whilst it is obvious they're enjoying social and political prominence right now, the entire troon mindset is self focused and self defeating. The more people get to know them the more they dislike them, and as they split along stupid and selfish lines, more and more previously unaffiliated groups will end up finding common ground (aka a rallying point) in "We don't like fucking troons". It truly is an ideology of losers.

I actually side with Wu on this one if this story is true.

They state that the podcast was scheduled, which means they knew about it in advance but put themselves into a situation where they were unable to fulfill the requirements of what I assume is their job. Why not bring your own laptop and a decent mic and headphones if you knew in advance you would have to take a few hours to do the podcast?

It might be gay and lame that Wu scheduled it for the day after, but tons of other podcasts do holiday episodes/streams even on the day of, so it's not even that outlandish. And if it was going to be a problem why not communicate with your boss in advance to work something else out?

Sounds pretty unprofessional to me.
