The butthurt in /r/texas...it's OVER 9000!!!

God bless the men this monument stands for, all their accomplishments, and those who seek to remember them in an era where the unwhipped melon-gobbling descendants of imported savages are granted numerous unwarranted legal protections by our so-called 'government'.

Reminder that Marx predicted the revolution would start in industrialized first-world countries and then spread to the rest of the world, and the opposite happened where the only places where communism succeeded were non-industrialized shitholes like Russia and China.
Ah, but you haven't read the later Marxists like Marcuse. Capitalism "evolved" to steal the revolutionary impulse from the proletariat by providing them with consumer goods and improved quality of life. This is why communists must radicalize students and "the ghetto populations" to destabilize the prosperity-generating aspects of modern society that prompt them to "reproduce" capitalism (these aspects being media, law, family, religion, and education) in order to achieve the End of History, as prophesied.

That's because they had no point of comparison. If you're used to an industrialized society and its benefits, or bread and circuses if you want to be more cynical, you're not going to be interested in a country where you can buy one car and it's a fucking Trabant.

This is the most based monument I have ever seen. Those Texans better protect the basedness of this one.
As a rule of thumb no subreddit for a location ever EVER reflects the average population of the place they claim to represent. The only ones that might come close are non-english speaking ones and even then they have severe issues being close to the average.
Yeah, my county and the neighboring ones are solidly Trump country (At least back in 2016. Every home had some sort of MAGA sign out front, doubt it has changed much since) outside of the relatively small cities. Yet if you look at any local subreddits it is all people bitching about the evil bigots who hate tranny propaganda in schools and vote Republican. If you just looked at the subreddits, you'd think these were bluer areas than out in California.

It strikes me as completely implausible that people were always cripplingly messed up like zoomers and were just "faking it" the whole time.

Most zoomers fake their mental illnesses. They've seen how many updoots those "I am autistic and have PTSDADHDBBQ" posts get on reddit and they want to emulate it.

And "late-stage capitalism" is a term that pre-dated the Soviet Union and survived it.

Just one more bread line, just one more concrete commie block, just one more smog-ridden skyline and I'll be able to sit at home playing video games all day without any accountability! Oh wait...

And "late-stage capitalism" is a term that pre-dated the Soviet Union and survived it.
Where exactly is this "late-stage capitalism" Marx & Engels (or Sombart or whoever) promised us? Is it like the resurrection from a couple thousand years ago that has been right around the corner for all that time?

Yes, it's the fabled communist eschaton where the proletariat finally realizes they can rise up and throw off their bourgeois masters and usher in the communist utopia.

Kooky evangelicals see signs of the coming rapture in the most mundane of things, redditors see late-stage capitalism in the most mundane of things.
