One thing that frustrates me is that kids these days do not know how to do chat roleplay. In my generation it was just expected that 10-16 year old boys would be groomed through fictional character roleplays, which would teach them about sex in a way that kids that age are desperate for. We didn't roleplay as kids of course, we played adult characters because everyone, including the kids, knew pretending to be a child being abused was cringe.

I didn't participate on the other side of that situation. Chill. Once i grew up i found an 18+ site (which at least claimed to be so) and stayed there.
I guess the difference is is that me and the other kids did it because we wanted to be there and not because people tricked us into it.

I agree with you, i'm saying when I was a kid I wanted to do it, so I did. Implying that kids don't do this just because we don't like it is silly. The point being that back then, it didn't lead to actual abuse because the (I guess, since they were chatting with kids, even though they were fixated on adult characters in text) pedophiles knew to keep it fictional.
