I was a juror once, but for a civil trial, not a criminal one. But even then Jury Selection was a one-and-done thing. i don't remember it taking what feels like fucking forever like the Trump case has.

For what it's worth, i was also one of the 3 guys that took part of the trial, with the others being women. One of the guys wound up being a back-up juror only so he was stuck in a seperate room from us with another woman that was also a back-up. So imagine me in the room with 10 other women as they talk about women shit. No, the other guy that was with me was no help, he was that creepy dude that smelled and had a car that looked like he lived in it. In fact he was the only one that kept us in that room for longer than we needed to be because he wasn't convinced the guys on trial were not guilty even when all the evidence presented proved otherwise.

Nope. It's the fans fault, or more accurately, the non-fans. There's almost a statistical guarantee that this includes you, the reader. All these poor minorities are getting oppressed and there's not enough powerful white men around to point the finger at, so they point it at you, the racist, sexist, etc. etc. asshole that refuses to acknowledge the worth of these queens and provide the gibs they deserve.

Now that college players are allowed to receive sponsorship money, a new pattern is developing. Very high level female athletes are getting multi-million dollar sponsorships while competing for low 6 figure jobs that may only last a few years. I believe this indicates that these player's value is measured in their plight and not their skills as an athlete. You being a "strong and independent woman" is worth 30x more to marketing companies than the skillset you've dedicated your life to perfecting is worth to the body that governs your sport. If you would have skipped going to the gym 6 days a week for 10 years and just got an electrician's apprenticeship, you'd be making the same amount of money, or better, for the rest of your life.

Should note that the only reason the WNBA exists is due to the fact that the NBA in general wants to keep an iron grip monopoly on all things basketball in the US and explicitly created the WNBA to crush a rival women's league that they didn't control that started prior to the launch of the WNBA and only keep the WNBA alive to ensure no other women's basketball league outside the NBA doesn't sprout up.

It is relevant when one of the people is a politician. For a politician, you basically have to weed out the terminally politically involved to stand a chance at giving them a fair trial.

Because everyone and their dog is terminally politically involved these days, finding a juror who hasn't already posted "Fuck trump I hope he goes to jail" is going to be a long and difficult process.

Absolutely, always check how "your guy" is voting. I check mine everytime one of these votes happen and thankfully he voted no on this bullshit.

My personal rule is to vote them out in the primaries but hold my nose and vote party line in the general if a loser wins the primary. RINOs are lazy and don’t actively think up new ways to mess with the American people like the Dems do, so they’re preferable.

RINOs are democrats with a coat of red. Better to let them be voted out even if it means they are replaced with a democrat. At least than some old boomers might have to wake up and smell the coffee. Better a democrat majority that runs the country headlong into the ground now, than a uniparty slow slide into brazilification.

Have you been paying attention the past few years? Any change for meaningful police reform has been thrown out the window on account of demoralizing police itself from budget cuts and impulsive activists/citizens victimizing outright criminals. Which, in turn, creates apathy from police departments because they don't want to be the next Derek Chauvin. Any GOOD police are fewer now or in smaller towns because they know that they'll be on the ringer no matter what they do. Basically, they created their own hell.

I certainly can't think of any reason why an American cop would be scared shitless to be seen taking a firehose to an unarmed protestor.
