I agree with what you're saying, but I see it in an opposite way. Kiwifarms is one of the last places on the Capital I Internet that acknowledges the inherent lack of security and rules of the Internet. The things you list aren't unique to the the farms or Null, you should be doing those things everywhere. If Null suddenly troons out and turns on the farmers, the safety conventions you listed will still protect your privacy. The farms isn't especially safe, it just tries to remind you that nowhere is particularly private or safe.I'm unironically starting to believe that kiwifarms is probably the last safe place on the internet. Think about it.
Kiwifarms promotes:
- Using a unique username
- Using a completely different email address
- A whole thread about internet safety written by Null
- Never revealing any information about yourself
That's just from the top of my head as well. Yet all the "safe" websites and apps like discord, twitter, and even youtube to some degree don't even mention about internet safety.
