To add insult to injury, Go is going to have an egg hatching event that forces you to spend money to get the most out of it. This is shit that should be free, and this should have been done around Easter weekend. This is how tone deaf Niantic and the TPC are.

Want some more salt? The hatching event pokemon is Cleffa, not something like Magby or an actual viable Pokemon. I already have a 3* Clefable for...something (raids, I guess).
Once I get Rayquaza I'm calling it (and maybe beat Giovanni if I can ever get good teams for his event missions). I can't even bother to play the game anymore, and I know the future updates are going to be much worse. I can't wait to see how they fuck up "revisiting Kanto" with more Pidgeys (but no mega stones because fuck you, lol) and Weedles. The real question is how will each update be worse than the last one because we got 2 or 3 more updates to go.

I was surprised that even they're not happy about this update too, while with The Sims 4, the gender customization (which includes lactation options that were added later on), sexual preferences, and pronouns updates were all received positively by the community (that were still playing TS4 at that point, and not the people who quit playing). Maybe Sims fans are deeper in Stockholm Syndrome than Pokémon fans.

I have not thought about The Sims in so long, but maybe the difference is both in the audience and the art style. It does not have those anime girls that some transsexuals lust over. If you are a trans person playing Pokemon, it is very likely that you love little anime girls. Now this game with character customization does not reflect the ideal little anime girl form.
