About the Bible stuffing/Scripture writing shit Jack spouted off about (it was an old post and don't want to needlessly tag the initial two posters), this "practice" if you want to call it that is often done by actual hardcore Christians in the sense that it's suppose to symbolize how faith is apart of the foundation for a happy and blessed life. It's usually a small group of people that do this and isn't relatively common. Of course Jack probably saw something/somebody mention it and has decided to do it and brag about it online because he has nothing else going on in his life.

I was reminded of this back when Jack made those posts about shoving Bibles in his walls, I just forgot to bring it up at the time. But now he's also having people scribble verses on his walls in addition to that (because I'm sure he can't hold a pen anymore)? It's just blatant performative Christianity, par for the course for Fatty.
Unless you count the unsolicited pulporks for the vision quest/men's orgy I don't think Jack has engaged in a genuine act of charity one time in his entire life.

Nicest guy on YouTube. Wait staff love him, for sure.

Jack better chill the fuck out, he's going to give himself a 7th stroke getting pissy over laughably small things like Tammy being charged a buck for using a card.
I feel like Jack would otherwise be elated to be using cash for things and not 'business ruining globohomo digital currency auto-service technology'. He'd love to whip out Chick Tracts for the tip. (dont get me wrong i still use cash now and then. Especially atevents, for tickets)

I think You pay the service fee to use a card in a lot of places it just baked into the price--I didnt know they still did until my dad told me about it at a gas station that cash is like 5-10c cheaper. Im 30s but i remember "we dont accept mastercard" type signs especially when travelling so he probably should.

I imagine restaurants usually eat the cost but i think this place could be being hipster/'nashville' 'quality'/still being passive aggressive about politics or something while still charging a fee.

Shaved Jack is blotchy as fuck, but it honestly looks like he shed two decades.

A cleanshaven jack is not a meme I ever thought I would want, but now I do. Shave his idiot son too, no weird beards for those closet AY-RABS.

I've burned a 3-pound bag of shreddy cheese, but I was making nachos for a fairly large football party. I could probably do 4 without making an utter abomination, but I'd need a crowd of eaters.

Blame the banks.
Ones that don't charge for cards still do, you pay more for the same food.
Jack doesn't realize it, you may not realize it, but we've all been paying the 'credit card tax'. When restaurants make it explicit, they're actually giving you the option. I've started carrying more cash because of this. And fuck Jack for punishing someone with no control over restaurant policy. You sure got her!

The cash/debit for gas is pretty common. And yeah, most places it's just baked into the price. Places that do a credit card surcharge like this are generally trying to do people a favor by giving them the option to avoid it. But since Fatty is a complete retard, he doesn't grasp that concept and instead it's just a restaurant out to screw him. Also means things like tips can be underreported if paid via cash, which can do the wait staff a favor... but Fatty is too stupid to realize that as well. Nevermind that it's obvious to anyone with half a brain that all he did was fuck the wait staff with his little tip penalty bullshit, it made no difference to the business itself.

Every now and then someone will post how Fatty has lost some cognitive function, but then you just point them to his stupid allthatbugs blog from 2008 or whenever it was, and you see this is the exact same shit he was doing a decade and a half ago. He hasn't changed, and never will.

I'm sure a lot of people would agree that charging extra for using a card is bullshit and wouldn't return but only pathetic assholes like fatty would take it out on the wait staff.
It's not charging extra for using a card. It's providing a discount customers can use for the business avoiding the fees imposed by the payment processor. If you aren't paying an explicit tacked on fee, and you're paying with a card, you are paying that transaction fee regardless.

Nah. Restaurants usually operate with slim margins and get raped by card fees nowadays. They largely had two choices, one, raise prices for everyone by 1-3% to cover the transaction fee or be honest about it and charge only people who pay with card. Restaurants have pulled some real bullshit fees recently but that's not one of them.

Cash is better for a lot of other reasons though some businesses I used to pay cash with went 100% electronic after doing the math and discovering the entire infrastructure behind handling cash (including teaching zoomers remedial math) cost more than the transaction fees.

Pretty sure that the only reason Jack hates retail automation is because it’s much more satisfying for this asshole to exploit poor workers that aren’t allowed to fight back. He hasn’t worked in over 30 years (longer given how lazy he was at the DJ job) and depends on mommy wife for literally everything from swiping a card to wiping his ass. If retail hell is real, he deserves to spend half an eternity there.

All of this fee talk makes me hope that we get a mushmouth rant about how Etsy is ripping him off if he actually makes a sale from his AI dropship shit. A lot of sellers have to account for Etsy’s numerous ones in their operation and item costs because it isn’t just the 20 cent listing/renewal fee. Like restaurants the profit margin for an actual artisan store on that site are next to dick for that reason. Other merchants aren’t much better. The credit card fees are accounted for in your cut when someone buys an item off Shopify, for example. Hypothetical, but let me dream.

Gee I wonder what % tip was left for that server after Jack knocked 3% off it for that credit card fee.

He really seems like the type of guy who'd start off at 10% and find reasons to whittle it down. That's enough for JEEEEEEZUS, and you're not him...

Evangelical trash like Jack don't normally tip anyway. He was probably going to tip her like $2 anyway
