One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

I will say I gotta give props to Vegapunk for cutting straight to his thesis statement of the world is going to sink. I just hope that he actually talks about how he thinks it’ll happen instead of just going “LOOK AT THE MYSTERY BOX LOOK AT THE MYSTERY BOX WHAT IS IN THE MYSTERY BOX?!” And then we get YouTubers going “WHAT DOES HE MEAN WHAT HE MEAN DOES HE MEAN LITERALLY OR METAPHORICALLY? THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!”

Sorry, I just feel like we’re at a point in the story where the story needs to stop bringing up new questions and start answering the questions that have already been asked.

It is answering questions though. Vegapunk is not brining up new questions. Vegapunk’s statment already answers the why the world is liked the way it is.

The only question we really having left to answer is how it will happen and how the One Piece relates. And how DF’s became things,

We don’t have very many questions left to answer.

We only have 3 to 2 questions left.

Thank God for that.

Seriously, why is there a bunch of walls? It means if any part of the world flood it does not hit anywhere else? Why are both the WG and The Ancient Kingdom allies high up? So they don’t get hit.

Like really the only question is what made the Fruits because if the world is flooding them being anti water is an obvious way to screw over people thst would seek power or to overthrow the world.

So the only question really is what will cause it and what caused it 800 years ago and why.

Because currently both Luffy et al and the Imu have methods that are able to cause it. Which indicates very likely that 800 years ago the flooding of the world was intended to be a good.

And the why and how obviously have a connection to the One Piece.

So I think Vegapunk is likely to drop the why it will flood but not drop the how or why someone would do the thing to make it flood and that will be saved for the Void Flashback and the One Piece reveal which in universe has been stated to happen at the same time.

And then there will be Blackbeard that unlike Imu and Luffy will flood the world just cause.

While I'm not entirely convinced vegapunk is being literal, I will say this is completely out of left field.

Not even going to try and speculate where this is heading.

Don’t fail me, Vegapunk.

I just want to know what the other half of the Poneglyphs say, since we haven't seen them though I'm assuming Robin saw quite a bit of them off-screen in her youth and has a good idea exactly what the story of the Void Century is, minus who Joy Boy is.

Is One Piece Oda's answer to Dune?

Consumable 'magical' substances that can lead to 'enlightenment' (Spice/Devil Fruits)?
Science is being rediscovered by scientists of questionable ethics (Tleilaxu/MADS) from a previously advanced/lost period that ended in disaster (Butlerian Jihad/Void Century)?
Superhuman development of normal human abilities through training (Weirding Way/Haki)?
A world ecologically impacted by mysterious phenomenon (Sandworms/Seas are Rising)?

Oh shit it just hit me.

The world is sinking into the ocean. The Noah was meant to bring the Fish-Men to the surface in the event of an emergency (their homeland being destroyed), of which such a cataclysmic event will cause the ocean levels to rise further (the All Blue, essentially). People are going to need to get on ships to keep from being washed away.

The Noah is the literal Ark for the survivors of this world-ending event. And not everyone is going to make it onto the Noah.

This is absolutely fucked and I'm all for it.

also it makes absolute sense why a WG even if they were good would not want the workd knowing about that fact and just start prepping the world for stuff without explaining why.

Cause if the world knew all hell would break loose.

My guess is that all the civilizations on islands are mountain tops King’s people made. The sky islands were probably moon people colonies or some shit.

I hope M&M comes back and destroys like half of Vegapunks ideas. I get the feeling that Vegapunk is like 1/3 right and even the 2/3 he’s wrong on are still not totally wrong.

That would explain the Joy Boy apology: he was to help the Fishmen get onto Noah for when everything went to shit.

I’ve heard that the Void Century and The One Piece Treasure will be revealed at the same time from @6MillionCoofs (and we will laugh) so we’ll probably learn what the Poneglyphs mean then (at least that’s what I’m assuming because why else would Oda not even hint at what those things are/only focus on the reactions to what’s revealed).

I mean Oden said they found the treasure and learnt about the world in almost the same sentence and I think Silvers said to Robin the true history she’s looking for was on Laugh Tale so Oda seems pretty insistant that those things get answered at the same time. Unfortunately. Because I’d like the Imu face reveal already.

I think Imu’s face reveal will like Ozai: hype him up to be as intimidating as possible, so whatever happens when the reveal happens will have massive impact.

As for things geting revealed at the same time, I guess it’s too much to ask for things to get hinted at even a little (assuming we get/got hints.)
