Is murdering your dog le hecking basseroni, or le hecking cringerino?

I think America has been too sheltered after reading through the comments about animals being shot.

In Australia right now, it's TOTAL CAT DEATH and TOTAL RABBIT DEATH season through any means necessary including dynamite and poison and old fashioned lead bullet.

I wonder if New Zealand went through with its program of letting young teens shoot cats iirc as well.
I can understand culling to protect the environment and manage populations; and I can totally get behind hunting. Feral hogs (escaped pigs from pig farms) are a problem in my state, and are considered vermin. You can kill as many as you want, as long as you want, whenever you want and with what ever weapons you want (outside of explosives (though I bet some redneck has done that to)). I have a problem with wasteful killing, or killing to excess of native species.

A cull of cats or rabbits doesn't sound like a problem. Especially rabbits, given you can harvest the meat. I've been told they are better than chicken in terms of protein. Cats because they are a none-native species and can destroy/damage the ecosystem.

Y'all at least allowed to use .22s on them, right?

Rabbits aren't as much a problem in the ranch country where I live now, but back in farm country you could see literal herds of them.
I doubt a full barrage of russian air-burst shells could have culled enough.

Looks like Bugs Bunny was accurate in terms of hard it is to kill Bugs lol.

Are cats really a problem elsewhere? Here we don't have rats for them to feed off of and the Coyotes get the stray cats before they multiple much

Cats basically kill a shitload of birds and other wildlife, just for fun.

Which makes them a problem in areas not used to them.

Yeah, they're a devastation on birds. I saw some wind farm apologist saying how "cats kill more birds than wind turbines". He probably thought that sounded good but my first reaction was to say cats kill birds in colossal numbers.

My second response was to way they kill different types of birds. I've never seen a house cat bring down an eagle but I've seen a wind turbine kill one.

Kristi Noem wrote about shooting pets because she hoped that would make her sound like some #bossbabe who isn’t afraid to make tough decisions but let’s not forget that she refused to sign an anti-tranny bill because Amazon was going to pull out of South Dakota if she signed it. She’s as badass as every other fair weather cuckservative who rolls over for any big business interest. Plenty of those out there without cringy and likely made up stories about how tough she is. Noem is another Sarah Palin-type who titillates the blue pill (and I’m not talking about The Matrix) boomercon set but will never be ready for being anything other than eye candy.
Wasn't she the one who Tucker absolutely eviscerated to her face on live TV over this?

Cats in Australia are actually evolving into their own species. The feral bush cats are among the largest domestic cats in the world since there is no larger land predator (besides humans). It's really too bad the Ausfailians want to kill them so badly instead of studying a fascinating ecological experiment and maybe even tame some of those feral cats to sell abroad.

What a fucking insane bitch. Just cause the animal isn't good at hunting right now doesn't mean it won't be in the future, and even if it isn't, that isn't justification to put a healthy dog down. That dog at the least could have been adopted out to a family. Holy shit, this makes me MATI.
While I don't agree completely with her actions. I believe the issue with the dog was it attacked the neighbors chickens. And may have had mental deficiencies due to poor breeding practices that are very common with puppy mills. Aggressive behavior is a concern with inbreed animals.
