Holy shit. Did it think you were flooring it all the time and cut off the compressor, I wonder....
Seems like it, haha. Compressor started cutting out intermittetly over past several months, esp on acceleration. Had vac leaks before so I thought there was one more I couldnt find. Also a sometiems slow acceleration and a bit choppy gear shifting. Finally compressor quit coming on entirely, but its a 25 year old truck so it wasnt really a suprise and I thought the other things were age related/vac line leak or something. Also I just drive like a grandma. Starting having idle issues that got worse pretty quick right around when the compressor quit coming on. Thought starter might be going too. Sounds better than Ive ever heard it and shifts crazy smooth now. Best 20 dollar 5 minute repair ever. Didnt even cross my mind the ac was affected by the tps lol

Back with Doris Day.

She had a 1930 Ford Model A Roadster, restored it and SOLD it for $96K. Very creamy color.

This may just be a function of where I live, but the new truck gets a shitload of approving comments from other people compared to my previous string of sporty fun cars. Also, even though it's the antithesis of sporty I find that I enjoy driving it as much but in a totally different way. Loafing along like it's always Sunday morning with the windows down and playing music is pretty great.

There's also the whole accessorizing thing, which is stupid easy and when it's stuff like a bed cap, mudflaps or deflectors offers real quality of life improvements. Even brand new truck models have a reasonably deep accessory catalog to piss away money on.

7 speed... manual? What's that pattern like?
A 7 speed manual has the same pattern as a 6 speed, but with an additional 7th gear over and forward. Some have reverse on the other side, some have it right below 7.
The only two cars I'm aware of that offered 7-speed manuals are the C7 Corvette (from around 2014) and the 911 from around 2012.

In the Porsche's case, they put Reverse left of 1st, leaving 7th by itself at the top right, ie 5 gates, so that R would be convenient. Corvette put Reverse below 7th in the 4th gate.

Ya. Pretty sure that Golf is a DSG, which is fine, but not the same.

That's nuts. Is your engine turbo?
Supercharged.

I'm hoping it's all pcv related; should be done in the next two weeks. But it's ridiculous. Starting to backfire now, starts then stalls and cranks for a good 10-20 seconds to start.

It's wild how erratic it is. On the drive home from work, it started =-5, but just deteriorated.
I realised why it has started hunting at idle sometimes. It leans the fuck out of the mix, which makes the revs jumps, then dumps fuel which bogs it and this repeats.

I'm not too familiar with boosted engines and how their PCV systems work. I've heard stuff like the crankcase is under positive pressure instead of vacuum or something. Hope the work you do to address it solves the issues. You think your fuel pump or injectors could be acting up?

Fuel pumps should be fine; injectors...perhaps. I'm not too familiar with PCV either; but I know boost is going into the crank.
I just want it over with. Found out my cats are 3.5k each; so I'm more concerned with those than anything atm.

If you're not burning oil, your cats should be fine. The fuel dilution to the oil is what I'd be concerned about cause thin oil could mean premature bearing wear.

Audi right? They aren't made like they used to be. Pax Audi has to be their inline 5 turbo.
Yeah, this is actually one of their better ones. The 3.0 supercharged was the only recommened one. I probably won't get one again. I won't get free tunes and parts this time, plus uh...not a fan.

I do say, I like awd for higher horsepower. It's nice to be able to just drop the hammer and for it to just go.
If I sell this, I'll probably get a mustang or an m3. Or go full retard and get an m5 or m6 w/ the v10

If you could get the i5 turbo in something that wasn't the rs3, I'd be so down. If I had the money / time I'd try and throw it in this s4. The rs3 is literally just a golf which makes me iffy on it. Maybe if the price drops, but I'm not spending 50-60k on a golf.
