According to Moscow Times, the Russian state-run news agency TASS reported that Andrei Tsyganov, chairman of a commission for the protection of children at the Roskomnadzor communications regulator, made the comments on Wednesday (29 September).
He said that LGBT+, radical feminist, and child-free groups should all be recognised as having “extremist ideologies”. Bizarrely, he also added furries to the list.

Lol, the guy who posted that is completely unreliable. Also, like half of all furry artists are Russian, when Payment processors got blocked in Russia within like a week 3 Russian alternatives specifically for furry artists popped up. I don't see what motivation they'd have to ban it.

When I meant alternatives I didn't mean that they were payment processors themselves. Basically a bunch of companies in Eastern European countries that were neutral in the war popped up. The sites just accept MasterCard, visa, whatever and funnel the money to Russian artists. Not all were specifically for furry art but a few very much were.

Most are dead but boosty.to is probably the most well known and pretty much entirely targeting Russian furry artists. You also can see how much they actually make off their sales since it shows it semi publicly.

But this was the big list of them https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10151629 notice how some focus on "art" while the rest are just for payroll and general freelancing.

I've got close ties to Russia and speak the language at an elementary level, I was just discussing this with my friends from Moscow. The Russian news articles said that the movement is dangerous to youth, and that the furries bite and growl at people in public. This was posted with that video in the telegram channel Новости Москвы (News of Moscow)

Also I found this terrifying youtube video and I don't know where else to share it. Just the decay in the background is terrifying as he goes on a Joshua Saunder's speed rant about his fursonas. Uploaded not even 24 hours ago. He sounds like he's on the spectrum and I almost feel bad for him, but I haven't been this unsettled by anything in a long time.

Looking through this guy's videos and only getting more confused. Seems he started off as a gaming channel for these characters. His first video has this comment, with the closest thing I can find to context for the channel:

That's from 3 months ago while the video is 2 years old, though "coming to tuition" did get a laugh from me. Other videos are just him playing a game with a literal taped piece of printer paper with a picture drawn on it, which is the character supposedly playing the game. No, really:

And yes, him saying all the characters names is his usual intro/outro. Eventually it turns into the sort of stuff posted before. The more I look the more confused I get. Has to be some truly advanced autism.

Thank you for researching further into Anthro Humans Memories. I was too scared too look any deeper into that abyss, but those videos and that novella of an FA made me laugh so hard in confusion. Just the first 2 paragraphs of that has so much to unpack. It's like these fursonas are tulpas he willed into being with the power of his autistic mind alone, and he wants to make damn sure you know that you can't copy them even if you draw them. They're Schrodinger's furries, neither real nor imaginary until observed, but they cannot be observed in their true form by anyone other than him.

"we also like roman noodles and female dragons who stand up to go pee in the toilet if you know Dragonia you know" is not a sentence I could ever have imagined. And the doublethink involved to try and comprehend phrases like, "We are a pretend real life laboratory created simulation species". Except he says we are actually in a computer simulation created by Gods, so is that how they can be both real and pretend? Because this world is real to us but he thinks it's a simulation? Did he create his own simulation within this simulation and basically become a God by creating new life/simulations? Those ideas seem like they're supposed to connect in some way, but my non schizophrenic brain is unable to make the leaps of logic needed to truly understand. This is a treasure trove of insanity.

I would say the strangest thing about Anthro Human Memories is probably the FA gallery. This isn't visible unless you're logged into FA, but for some reason, he labeled every single picture in his gallery as "Adult", even though none of these are porn. I took a few screenshots regardless and spoilered them just in case.

FYI: submissions with a red border were uploaded as "adult" submissions.

I've primarily only ever seen people use Boosty for the past year or so and it until a month or two ago accepted Paypal but no longer does. It's been somewhat succeeded by a site called Hipolink which may or may not be owned by the same people who own Boosty and accepts Paypal again.

I don't see the Russian furry artists going anywhere though, especially since a lot of them will take commissions for almost nothing compared to western artists.

It's probably to keep his gallery from people who don't have an account or from things being archived via index/scraping. Seems to have the tism as I can't make any sense of that gallery, but I'm certain it makes sense to them.
