Sony hate thread

Sony deserves to have their games pirated with all the scummy bs they pull. Consoles are basically just stock gaming PCs with more limitations on what you can play and do. At least Microsoft has the right idea, because regardless of if you play on Xbox or PC they still get on over on their competitors like Sony and Nintendo.

In case you thought you hated Sony enough, a new update came out about Helldivers 2 on Steam. They are now requiring you to link a Playstation Network account to play Helldivers 2 on Steam. For extra hilarity, it was just announced yesterday that Helldivers 2 is the 7th highest grossing Sony published game in history but if they don't count the PC sales, it wouldn't even rank in the top 20.

I'll hide "Hitler was right" in my EULAs and since no one reads those, people will agree.

If you're tired of having to make accounts for all the goyslop games, paying 70 bucks for the priviledge, and STILL having pay to play bullshit in your games I have the answer for all your woes. On steam theres this innocuous little program called Retroarch. It requires no account other than your existing steam one, and it plays thousands and thousands of classic games all for free(actually free). No third party accounts, no pay to play mechanics, no niggers, no faggots, just classic, skill based games. Come home, white man. Quit begging for content from these faggot game companies that hate your fucking guts. Take the emulator pill and be free.

In 2024, every publisher deserves to have their games pirated. There are no "good guys" in this industry.

They all hate you. They all want to take every penny of your money while providing you with nothing.
I agree. Nintendo and their IP hoarding is inexcusable. That smiling friends skit was a great parody on how they actually are. Microsoft wants to monopolize as much as they can so they're only acting customer friendly, just for them to demand higher prices later once there is less competition. It's not just Sony that deserves to be pirated. I just wanted to stay on theme with the thread and not go too off topic. You know it's bad when Microsoft acts more user friendly despite their poor customer service track record. Especially when you know it's to eliminate competition so they can charge more and take away options as they gain power.

Retroarch + Big HDD that stores every game made is a fine way to rot forever.

I just found this out with his video. Basically, you need ANOTHER account to access your purchased title, even if you DON'T have/want a PSN account. PC players LOVE to be gatekept access to their own titles. PSN is even blocked in some countries. Yikes. Sony must be trying to inflate their sub numbers.

Retroarch + Big HDD that stores every game ever made is a fine way to *keep enjoying your gaming hobby in your free time without having to engage with the hateful and increasingly anti-consumer modern gaming industry/culture* forever.

Just when I was gonna buy it too.. I still might buy it but jeeze.
The CEO seems genuinely remorseful looking through his twatter history.
The staff have purged the discord of the shitflinging CM's stupidity as they woke up.

Doesn't change the fact the requirement is fucky.
My take based on the history of dev/community interaction is devs and ceo care, but their CMs are retarded and Sony is a millstone on their neck.

Sony is a universally awful company and I hope this year's debacles convince other dev houses to seek alternate publishers and investors.
