The idea of self-publishing sounds great, but I don't think most artists are cut out for it. You need discipline, common sense, and enough practicality to keep in the black. I don't think most artists have enough of these qualities to succeed.

There were things that happened to me in my personal life that I'm not really ready to talk about. I was arguing with fans a lot on Twitter, letting myself get trolled. That's really the point where I think it's time to take a break. If you're allowing trolls to dictate your behavior you are taking yourself too seriously.

So, when CG people wonder why they got banned from conventions. People can point to Riley. Who is and is not part of CG. In this video at least, he didn't do much. But people that run these things can use it as an excuse as to why CG people shouldn't be allowed to buy a booth or attend. Great work.

CG keeps burning bridges and doing shit that's just annoying to everyone in the immediate area for Internet clout. They're essentially the Johnny Somali of the comic space and no one really wants to put up with that long term so eventually they will be blacklisted and no one will really care.

People turned on the Breitweisers because they crowdfunded a comic under the guise of being CG but then used that money to try to do the Walmart thing, didn't deliver the book, ghosted the backers and all but disavowed CG. Then the Walmart thing failed spectacularly leaving Breitweiser with his pants down holding his dick in his hand to come crawling back. For all we know he might be a cashier at a Walmart now.

That was back when being two years late on a book was a mortal sin in CG. Now it's Ethan Van Sciver's business model (although two years is nothing now). I don't think Walmart will hire him when that time comes either.

I actually like your cartoons, I did notice the lip syncing was sporadic though. And I felt like I was missing some lore or something to get some of the jokes. But comedy cartoon stuff doesn't have to be drawn like evs style. It can be quite bad, look at the old adult swim cartoon 12 oz mouse. Also this level of humility seems quite rare in cg so kudos.

Malin comes off like a super sensitive, very very insecure and petty cunt. I watched parts of his rumble dirt streams about the dungeoneer stuff and I was shocked at how absolutely psychotic he was coming off. I'm not sure if I've ever come across someone that bitter and jealous and insecure, it was near the verge of paranoia. It's ok he has an issue with PTP, but he seemed like he thinks everyone is plotting against him and everyone thinks about him 24 7, and everything other creators do is a reaction to Malin. PTP comes off a bit like this too, but imo, malin seems worse. His whole like coach, competitive asshole persona I thought was a bit at first, but it's totally who he is.

The cosmic irony of the Walmart thing is that Breitweiser went all-in on that deal about 5 minutes before Covid hit and closed all the Walmarts for a year and a half. He'll always have that excuse to wonder what might've been I suppose.

Allegiance Arts was the company he formed back then to do all this under. One of the catches for the people going into Walmart with him was that they'd have to give Allegiance ownership of the characters. That's why EVS backed out and accused Mitch of trying to steal Cyberfrog. All of this was covered (and speculated upon) extensively in this thread if you search for "allegiance" or "allegiance arts". I dug into the corp quite a bit but couldn't find as much as I had hoped. Some of his investors were quite the characters in Arkansas good-ole-boy scam territory.
