Similar to birth control, but basically the answer is "Don't".
It's mainly prescribed for menopause but gonadal hormones are also for things like hypogonadism (not enough hormones), ovarian failure (premature infertility), and androgenisation in women.

As @Otterly said, it will increase your risks of cardiovascular/thrombotic events (hypertension, thromboembolism, stroke, MI etc).

I'm no endocrinologist/biochemist but the way they prescribe hormones these days (including BCP) concerns me. Hormones are incredibly powerful and the effects they have on a cellular level is quite strong.
The knock on effects of what is currently happening to humans, not even just the hormones in our food - plastics being ubiquitous endocrine disruptors, is not fully known at this stage.

This is not necessarily just because of customs - Small scale stuff is more likely to be picked up because the people sending it aren't as savvy as proper narco experts and it's illegal to send non-prescription medicines by post.
