You're right, there's no fighting in it. It's a game for troons anyway, like all Nintendo IP's are.smash bros isnt a fighting game. kys retard
This is a monkeys paw cause NV is an entirely scripted game with only the inbetweens being unscripted. I would prefer a lot more world interactivity, but only if it's organic and systemic, not predetermined like in NV or crpgs. That's one of the major problems with modern open world games, they're all scripted to hell and back while a immersive sim or an rts game has a lot more systemic ai interactivity. I'm somehow convinced that rockstar is the biggest fraud in the industry when it comes to open worlds and they have no clue how to program ai properly so they end up scripting so much that it seems organic. Also going inside buildings and game physics died with the PS3 generation.World interactivity has been nerfed to hell in recent years.
Fallout New Vegas is downright primitive by modern standards but probably 90% of the time you see a building you can go inside it and there's something in it even if it's just some random loot or 1-2 enemies.
In probably at least half of recent games I've played outside of scripted missions you can't go inside buildings they're just static props to look at from a distance.
The only redeeming quality of fighting games are the music, otherwise its a shitty genre plagued by a bunch of autistic niggers and groomers.all fighting games suck
May I interest you in some Dwarf Fortress?I would prefer a lot more world interactivity, but only if it's organic and systemic, not predetermined like in NV or crpgs. I would unironically rather pick up a second job than play fighting games. It would be a more fun and less tedious use of my spare time. The only redeeming quality of fighting games are the music, otherwise its a shitty genre plagued by a bunch of autistic niggers and groomers.
Completely agree, they took the opportunity when starting fresh with MHW to remove anything that doesn't give instant action. Now, did the hunting part of the game need some updating and improvement? Yes. But it certainly wasn't irredeemable, they just "optimized" it out of the game, and it became Monster Slayer.I dislike the changes the Monster Hunter series has undergone under Monster Hunter World and Rise.
Oh, I completely agree with you. I despise Generations as well. Although embarrassingly I'll admit I never put more than four hours into it when it came out. I was repulsed by the ugly graphics, poor presentation and low frame rate so I took it back to the store. Massive disappointment after 4.Completely agree, they took the opportunity when starting fresh with MHW to remove anything that doesn't give instant action. Monsters being steamrolled by player abilities definitely started with MH Generations Styles, you're just going around on the ground and air slaughtering every rusty monster they copy-pasted into the game. I despise that game so much. They were fully aware it would be the last old game, and instead of using the opportunity to take the best from each gen and remove a lot of that rust or bullshit, they just copy-pasted shit from previous games so they could add they dumb new ideas.
Imagine if they took the time to remake the maps like 4U's desert was a remake of the Gen 1 desert; give each map the amazing atmosphere from Gen 1, the seasons from Gen 2, swimming from Gen 3 with fixed controls & combat, and the ledges or vertical terrain from Gen 4. Each gen had really cool ideas that just needed some fine tuning to work right. But nah, here's fucking Basarios, go rape him. Here's a new generic map. Here's some garish new monster. Just for one game, I wanted the new content to be all the old content updated with the best ideas the series had so far. So disappointed.
Agreed completely. We'll never get a game as packed with content as Freedom Unite, 3U or 4U. Monster Hunter has regressed so much but yeah don't complain because now the graphics are le pretty and they removed the horrible paintballs and grinding!4U guild quests are some of the best shit in the series and it's never coming back and being iterated upon because it's fun and satisfying endgame content that isn't live service drip-fed to you and capcom hasn't found a way to charge you a subscription fee for it that they feel they could get away with yet
That's an interesting point. I feel that GTA VI will break the Internet for a while. That game will save the console industry from being dormant for a while. In retrospect, it's sad that GTA VI will be the killer app for these consoles, not their own exclusives. Whether R* is aware of that remains to be seen.View attachment 5973166
The more and more I talk to Playstation and Xbox users, casual and hardcore alike, the more I realize that the only thing any of them seem to anticipate is Grand Theft Auto VI.
All of them seem to admit that this generation has completely shit the bed in regards to AAA gaming on Playstation and Xbox, but they all seem to come back to "at least GTA VI will make it all worth it". There was a period where they were also excited for Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Final Fantasy, but that seems to have passed with the releases of Starfield, FF16 and VII Rebirth.
I truly do believe at this point that GTA VI could be the catalyst for whatever sort of change or "crash" happens to this industry. There's just no way it can live up to the hype at this point.
Like everything else wrong with America right now, this can be blamed on the MCU.Game banter is an underrated level of immersion in multiplayer games. Nowadays, multiplayer game banter has their dialogue to be chirpy and "witty." That's jarring when you play a war game.
I'm barely autistic enough for factorio so no, I'm definitely not good enough and no amount of tilesets is gonna help meMay I interest you in some Dwarf Fortress?
Im sure its gonna be another monkeys paw. Its gonna be a good single player game which is 300 GB but every single gigabyte is gonna be worthless in some years after when the hype wears off, like GTA IV. And theres gonna be shoehorned in online or single player online like in Simcity 2013.That's an interesting point. I feel that GTA VI will break the Internet for a while. One outcome I predict is a massive server overload with XBL/PS+ on account of a sudden surge of people downloading GTA VI at once.
I'll miss the 2000s as it was the final decade for good vidya (as with pretty much everything else)Fuck modern day games, fuck them in their stupid arses.

Its sometimes shocking to look back at the franchises early roots and how it went from being some random 2d open world game to becoming the biggest media franchise than the MCU and disney combined.GTA VI
Historically GTA is still massive but there are many franchises that beat it including currently running ones. Warcraft, Pokemon, Fortnite, Space Invaders, James Bond, Toy Story, Star Wars, Harry Potter. It's not even the largest game franchise with stuff like Call of Duty still beating it. Even if GTA6 does $5 billion in sales it will not make a dent in something like Pokemon. Its sometimes shocking to look back at the franchises early roots and how it went from being some random 2d open world game to becoming the biggest media franchise than the MCU and disney combined.
If we could get rid of AAA games in favor of more AA or indie games, that would be a win for the industry. AAA games aren't worth it anymore other than a select few (FromSoftware, GTA), do we really need those gigantic soulless games made to please investors? I doubt you can get better than Red Dead 2, or Elden Ring. You think modern day games are shit, but you don't realise how shit modern day games. They're soulless, empty, boring, fucking piece of shit. I've downloaded Alpha Centuri and Longest Journey. Had a quick 15 min blast on each to see if they're worth playing and they have better music, voice acting, tutorials, worlds and artistic direction than most modern games combined, made with a team only a fraction as big as the AAA slop studios.
