Meh. I doubt Third Strike will have mind blowing stuff like a Hugo or Twelve player legitimately hitting the finals (by that I mean no pot-splitting shit). Side games haven't been announced yet. Too bad nobody likes Woke Kombat 1 out of Sonic Fox, Blackrock Fighter 6 is losing players, and Tekken 8 is living off hype that'll eventually die down (no one gives a fuck about anime fighters and Gay Gear now).

3rd Strike is a random one. I was under the impression EVO was axing all the old games from their lineup and only focusing on new stuff. After all, they stopped paying respects to Super Turbo a long time ago.

It's a combination of "We're still cool - look!" and the fact there just aren't many good fighting games currently and haven't been for a while.

Get comfy - the "main" games are still new. It's going to be a few years of MK1 / SF6/ T8 on repeat.

I've never liked anime games but a shitload of my MK competitive friends have switched over to GBVSR. Thematically, it's anime, but the gameplay is really good. The optional block button makes it a lot easier for NRS players to get used to the new system.

@Celebrate Nite I think 3rd strike is the most popular game on fightcade.

Given that SNK is 96.8% controlled by Saudi Arabia (especially way WAY more than minority shares of EA, ActiBlizz, T2, Nintendo and Embracer, respectively), then of course SNK isn't getting BlackRock money... yet

As explained earlier in the thread, 3rd Strike is the ultimate tryhard game and showing dominance in that trashfire is proof that said tryhard has obtained maximum autism within the sectur.

I wonder if I should be pleased that the Killer Instinct series was "forgotten" by these FGCs in general. I am pleased to hear the Tekken community actually does take time to get good, yet I figure it could be filled with troons, or could take the Mortal Kombat route.
 
Last half hour or so they talk about getting to play the new GAROU game.
Their enthusiasm, especially for being Capcom shills, is encouraging.

I'm more blown away by the amount of people that don't want him to come back, and the sheer levels of iron behind it.

All blood did was hold a chick's wrist. Meanwhile, Noel Brown was allowed to compete in CEO last year, despite the numerous confirmed allegations against him. Meat-riders like Ultra David can talk all the shit they want, but that isn't fair. Like, they won't let Infiltration back into tournaments, but let Noel Brown into CEO? It's dogshit.

Speaking of the banned, what's your opinion on gllty, the tranny who famously beat LowTierGod and manhandled him? A deserved ban or more to the story? Probably the only thing worse than a tranny is the Capcom community "authorities"/reps/bootlickers.


Reading his reddit posts, I almost feel sympathy but I'm not knowledgeable about this. I think he fled to Japan.
