Why are there so many ex-military troons?

I think guys are getting better at this. I think it is now appreciated that men can be supportive in a way that is masculine. We just need more of it.
I have two theories that stem from the same place. The first is that the military provides structure that doesn’t exist on Civvy Street. Some apply their self-discipline to their new lives. Others feel lost and directionless, ultimately leading to trooning out.
The other theory is that directionless people sometimes join the military in the hope of finding direction. Then it goes per the first theory.

VA mental health professionals. I personally know two guys that never had a dysphoric thought in their lives that went to the VA for PTSD treatment and came out wanting to wear women's clothes. I went in for my yearly last year and noticed there were more pride flags on the first floor than American or service flags. Government provided healthcare fucking sucks.

Most people who have "Dr." in their handles are Dr. Troon's type of Dr; The few medical doctors who do so (e.g. Adrian Harrop and his boyfriend Christian Jessen, and a certain Dr. Jones who is no stranger to this thread; I forget her name though) are nuttier than a fruitcake.

The first photo is a candid photo from the Pirelli calendar photoshoot, which is apparently going to feature these two, Actor Hunter Schafer and model Alex Consani. Both trannies, both with obvious eating disorders. Even for a model Consani is absurdly thin. It's a good strategy for troons - the emaciation hides the lack of femininity. Schafer is a current favourite because he superficially passes with good styling. With different styling, like this set photo from from the movie Cuckoo, he's an emaciated twink with a boob job. It's so strange that these people are presented as a beauty standard to aspire to.
