It wasn't enough for people to say they identified with an anime character or something, they have to be the ONLY true fan of said character AND it has to be because of a disorder too! I really do wonder where these people get their research for their self diagnoses if they read the criteria for BPD and somehow get 'being the exclusive roleplayer of your favorite anime character' as a symptom.

I don't think he realises that cocsa cases are indeed complex and both children should get help in these situations. Both of them were victims, and birdie's first mistake was making this shit public. It's fucking insane that he never learned after all these years not to air out everything about his life on the internet seeing how he was made to be a laughing stock for 7 years straight because of it. I did feel bad for him back when he was 12 and clearly didn't know shit about online safety, but you'd assume at 19 he'd actually learn to keep things private, no? *not a mental health professional, this is armchair psychology and I encourage you to trashcan/autism/hat me if I'm wrong

I think she doesn't have bipolar disorder. I think she's either disorganized or anxiously attached coupled with autism which really doesn't help with socialization. This comes from my experience working, reading about and existing with people who have bipolar. I know Autists from good families and they are usually in their own worlds doing whatever they enjoy doing and rarely talk with me, usually to ask a question or to talk about their interest of choice.

The thing about autism, BPD and unresolved childhood trauma is that they share traits with one another, which can frequently confuse the sufferer and the people close to the sufferer. Autism and emotional intelligence don't mix well, and requires a therapist for a person to unravel their repressed memories and unconscious maladaptive behavior. Even without autism, childhood trauma is a challenge for less severe disorders and neurotypical people to resolve.

Core traits of autism are present in her behavior, and it's non-negotiable that she did go trough alot of adverse childhood experiences due to the "ignoring danger" trait of autism (like when Christian Chandler doxed his whole house and face to the internet)

The inability to feel happiness is called "Anhedonia" and is a common trait in addicts and trauma survivors. It happens to everybody but the difference is a trauma survivor has chronic anhedonia with frequent relapses (frequently confused with the low phase of BPD) while people with a safe family base experience anhedonia after bouts of drinking with friends, smoking weed too frequently and in great quantities, death of a loved one, loss of a job, failing an important test, academic setbacks, breaking up with a long-term partner etc. , these pass after a couple days/weeks or in severe cases months.

Unless birdie shows a doctors note which tells me she has BPD, I am of firm belief she doesn't have it, instead her behavior can be attributed to adverse childhood experiences and parents who didn't properly take care of her autism.

I can't seem to quote your post, but "BPD" does not stand for bipolar disorder, it stands for borderline personality disorder. Birdie is not claiming to have bipolar disorder (to my knowledge), she's claiming to have borderline personality disorder, and the symptoms of BPD do seem to line up with what she was exhibited so far. At least, in the comic you're replying to, she is literally using actual diagnostic criteria / documented symptoms of BPD.
