Baldur's Gate III Announced - ...and it's coming to Google Stadia and PC

Discovered a new bug:

>Karlach Origin
>Honor Mode
>I refused to fight at the gate
>Goblins killed everyone at the gate, including Wyll
>I stole the Druid Idol
>Druids killed all the Tieflings
>I run away from the grove.
>I resurrect Wyll
>Wyll says he is sad about Tieflings (even though he was dead the whole time)
>Wyll says he is chasing Karlach (even though she is right in front of him)
>Wyll later says he will face Mizora's wrath for sparing Karlach (even though there was no confrontation)
>We sleep in camp. Mizora doesn't visit.
>Wyll hasn't been cursed by Mizora
>There's a pin on my map telling me to hunt down Karlach (even though I am playing as her)
I'm going to visit the Goblin Camp later to see what happens at the party after I save Halsin...
>Saved Halsin. He says he will meet me at camp, but never shows.
>Nobody throws a party.

So, I journeyed to the Mountain Pass; Mizora finally shows up. Also, Raphael is waiting to talk to me in the background.
Funny, he is just sitting there watching the whole thing unfold.

My character went against their morals and killed Rugan. There’s a guy in there who sells poison and has gold you can pickpocket every long rest who dies during the battle if you spare Rugan plus I really needed those pick pocketing gloves that he won’t sell unless the girl says he can, killing her results in the gloves being lost in time forever. I bought those gloves from him and then pickpocketed my money back from him using the gloves. Also, Rugan is not even that grateful if you kill everyone for him and he just runs away never to be seen again. I was worried I needed that girl for later.

I was forced to murder someone in the game for short term and long term greed, and wanted the gloves. And was worried it would mess up a quest by not killing Rugan. Now I have to head to baldurs gate to finish the quest.

So, I've decided that I'm going to be trying out a "solo stealth" build; never really ran stealth in the game before, so it's something new. Also going solo, because... well, I honestly just wanted to try a solo stealth run, seemed fitting. That, and I heard that "solo stealth" is a great build for a murderhobo/"inquisitor" playthrough; figured I'd give it a try.

That said; no idea which class to run. Rogue seems like the obvious choice, and I was considering running either an Arcane Trickster or Assassin, but I've heard that it's supposed to be pretty bad at solo play past level 5. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm willing to try just about anything; I prefer playing monoclass as much as possible, admittedly.

From what I've read, it looks like Bard, Ranger, Monk, and Rogue are the best solo classes.

imho, you should just go with the one that sounds the most fun, which seems to be Rogue for you at the moment. One of my friends completed a solo straight thief run so at least you know that one's 100% possible. He had a great time doing it, and tbh Reliable Talent at 11 is so slept on. It does makes greater invisibility almost cheese-adjacent though, and if you pick your proficiencies/expertises right, you're going to be laughing at so many checks. Another one of my friends completed a no-cheese Jack of all Trades solo run, with that being said, so I do think everything is viable so long as you advance thoughtfully and stick to it. Good luck!

It gets worse when you realise that in the next area, the mountain pass, there is a solo mercenary selling robes that give +2 dex and advantage on all dex checks, including sleight of hand. Which combines really nicely with the goblin gloves.

It's a lot of fun. Don't forget to use items that give momentum or boost your speed, as otherwise it'd be hard to escape combat.
An alternative to the rogue is a Shadow monk, who can teleport from shadow to shadow with just a bonus action. You can cast Darkness, so don't forget the ring near the spirit boy in Act 2, as it'll give you advantage on all attacks, and disadvantage for the enemy.

Duergar Dwarves have unlimited lesser invisibility, so they'll make the best race pick.

It's less weak then you might think. Spellcasters grow more powerful the more total levels they have in casting classes combined. Plus another level from ranger/paladin. Cleric, monk and Rogue give a lot of new toys in just one level, and one level in Barbarian gives you advantage on so many ablity checks.
I gotta ask; what with the troon and loon obsession with Tieflings?
Become the Big Titty Goth GF.

I finally finished my playthrough. Durge storyline was good though I think they should've figure it out in such way it works for all races as some don't mesh well (githyanki, Underdark races).
I'm a bit disappointed with cutscene in temple of Bhaal, so much happens but companions just stand in the background? It's jarring in many cutscenes but in this one it was particularly annoying.
Replaying, I thought it would be cool if Omelluum could be convinced to help with Netherbrain so nobody has to become mindflayer.
Also, I hate gondian foundry so much, it's a steampunk factory right in the middle of quasi-renessaince city. I get that Forgotten Realms are not authentic setting but this is particularly anachronistic.
Sir Aylin is really impressive piece of mod, in some dialogues it could be heard voices were generated with AI but overall quality was good.

Draconic sorcerer is officially my favourite class, had immense amount of fun playing as one. I still have some ideas for characters but I need a break for a few months (and until my mods are fixed after they'll break with next patch).
Anyone tried playing beastmaster ranger? I'm thinking about playing him on one of the playthroughs but I'm not sure if his beasts are any useful, and ranger on his own is not particularly impressive class.

Okay, I gotta ask; what with the troon and loon obsession with Tieflings? I mean, I find it to be kinda hilarious that the LGBT+ crowd is so fond of the race of demon spawn. Pretty fitting if you ask me.
In media, there have been a lot of gay writers who add gay code in certain villains or give villains motivations that are reminiscent to some gay revenge/struggle. I believe it to be the case in certain films but not all of them. There was also the 2d representation of gay people whose purpose in the narrative is spouting "sassy" one liners. Gay folks weren't really introduced as main characters until after Brokeback Mountain. Also, Tieflings are a visual representation of how a lot of Christians perceived gay people and how most gay people view themselves. Yeah, they might have the shape and appearance of a devil, but the shape and appearance do not define who they are. This is the opposite mentality of the current crop of lgbtqia+p where more weight is put into the superficial as an identity.

They probably see themselves in the Tieflings as fellow underdogs/misunderstood people, so to speak, who are judged for their appearances. Basically “I may look evil but I’m actually a soft uwu bean, this is who I am and if you can’t accept it that’s your problem.”

Honeyed Paws at 5 on the bear companion will create an opportunity for a disarm without an opportunity for a saving throw- the attack just needs to connect.
I currently am playing with a BMR for the first time on my experimenting HM save so I'm certainly not an expert (I create a save state before every combat I might want to try something new in and just load, change party, outfit, and experiment.) and it's tons of fun- There's an opportunity for a posse of beasts. (okay, mostly ravens if you don't want to scare off the population and don't want to use mods to remove the possibility for them to be frightened, for some reason they don't mind you being followed by ravens and more optional ravens) You can eventually chain summons- for example, have the bear summon a bear friend, then unsummon the first bear, then summon a raven which can summon more ravens, then unsummon the main raven, then summon something else you want to have around.
It stacks with the Shadow from the lantern, with a familiar such as Us- I still need to test this out more to see which stacks override which familiars, but I believe you could also stack the feral ghouls from Danse Macabre. The Cambion from the Infernal Rapier should also stack. imho it does not multiclass so well and you probably want the level 11 perk, so I'm running it straight though I could see the benefit of a 1 War Cleric dip. Also, the larger summons keep on getting stuck so it can be a bit annoying to walk around Baldur's Gate with all of its narrow doorways.

It's funny because the gnomes are actually the gayest race in BGS3 or at least that's the race I noticed has the highest number of openly gay npcs in my playthrough.

Makes sense I suppose. If you want to virtue signal who's more oppressed than ugly gay midgets?

Taking the time to pick up and send to camp, every barrel of firewine, oil and runepowder you can find, then scattering them along the shore before Halsin opens the portal can sure make that encounter interesting.

Wonder what he'd have to say if we lift the shadow curse but in the process of doing so, we obliterate half of Faerun?
