See, I don't think it's a mental illness in the same way many other kiwis would, but fucking hell do they not do themselves any favours when they do the dumbest shit imaginable. Probably also doesn't help that the trans community probably thinks I'm transphobic cause my stance is "you aren't getting preferential treatment, you're getting the same as everyone else and if you act like a fucking retard, then you're gonna be called one".
That and I also think LGBTQ+ is internally very inconsistent cause they keep adding new identities and ideologies without realising how it throws things into disarray (my biggest example is that gender abolitionists and transgenders seem diametrically opposed, since one wishes to live within the binary and bases their identity around their experience of switching from one to the other, while the other one wishes to destroy the binary entirely, which completely undermines t

In my last job a bunch of Poles got laid off because one of them posted a tongue-in-cheek joke about "they're stealing our jerbs" (meant to be self-referential, Poles were given that stereotype before mass immigration, plus the guy was like 21 or 22 and still very naive and young) and a few of his coworkers just put a laugh emote on the message. All four were dismissed basically immediately.
The polish guy in my team was seriously pissed off about it when we talked about it on video call (cause neither us fancies leaving a text trail) and essentially said that it's fucking insufferable that they got fired for a self-referential joke and had basically everyone they work with know that they were fired for "saying something really bad". Especially considering the polish side regularly has to deal with being second-class employees (like, I send a message I get a response in 10 mins, he sends one, it takes 2 hours). I had to hold my tongue as the UK side were talking mad shit about the guys who got dismissed and my thought was "dude, they're like 22 and they made a bad joke, I don't think that warrants fucking up their financial situation, give em a slap on the wrist and let em learn from the experience" (which is ironic considering that they then fucked up my financial situation one year later by firing me when I was struggling with severe depression, like, suicidal-level depression).
