Following Lengthy and expensive litigation, Burritos and Tacos are declared to be Sandwiches. - A court in Indiana has determined by a preponderence of the evidence that Mexican style Sandwiches are still just that. ingredients encased in bread.

Well that’s some silly shit niggas. Chicken McNuggets are just chicken wrapped in bread, we’re gonna call them sandwiches? Sandwiches for who? Little people. Or squirrels.

What next, we gonna call hotdogs sandwiches? This country is losing its god damn mind.
You're in a country where men in dresses are legally women. This was the next logical step.

I blame nosy bureaucrats going too far with their zoning rules for this situation more than anything. Why is it so bad that a taco shop goes up somewhere instead of a sandwich shop? They’re both food shops at the end of the day. If locals don’t want another taco shop there then it’ll go under and solve itself anyway.

I don't like this ruling, even food is starting to slide into the morass of postmodernist haze where words mean nothing.

Anything that's encased in bread is a sandwich?
Are pigs in a blanket a sandwich? Are crepes a sandwich? Are croquettes a sandwich? We now live in a world where you could eat a hot pocket and tell people "hold on, I'm eating a sandwich" and be legally correct.

Madness.
I wanted an authentic opinion so I asked a couple of Mexican guys that work on one of the crews this morning what they think of this and their response was "Crazy fucking Pendejo's"
:story:
"Tacos are Tacos. Burritos are Burritos. Neither are sandwiches"
Not even Mexicans think this is right lol.

The Soyence is settled chud. You just gotta deal.
nope im coping and sneeding. I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA WHERE YOU COULD EAT MEXICAN FOOD WITHOUT WHITE PEOPLE CALLING IT SANDWICHES

It's just a legal definition to address an asinine zoning technicality, everybody knows tacos and burritos aren't "sandwiches". If you told people at work you were bringing in sandwiches for lunch and set up a Chipotle burrito bar or gyro station, they would be somewhat confused and disappointed.

The place sells actual tortas so if you want a Mexican sandwich you can get one.

For the purposes of this contractual dispute and the laws regulating foodstuff there's no reasonable difference between different arrangements of bread, meat, vegetables, sauces, cheese, jams, and spreads and whatnot.

I think you're imputing universal significance to this for no reason
