Right. I don’t think many people understand how trusts work and can be structured. They can protect some assets, like their current house being owned by a trust but Kayla could still claim she’s accustomed to being housed in a home of X value and X square feet and be compensated in the divorce as such. Trust fund kids get taken to the cleaners in divorces all the time. The trust income is viewed just like any other type of income.
