A judge can issue a ruling of "verdict notwithstanding the jury" and provide his own verdict. Its one of the rarest things out there because it requires the judge to all but formally declare that every single juror was suffering from traumatic brain damage of some sort, and that no twelve reasonable persons could have ever possibly ruled the way they did. Not going to say it can't happen because this is Clown World, but shit, Colorado got slapped down 9-0 by SCOTUS when they unilaterally took Trump off the ballot. Anyone who can think about the hypothetical of not eating breakfast is able to add two and two and realize how easily that can be turned against them.

It 100% will happen because he has outright said he will do it. And it 100% will get smacked down in appeals when he does it because of the absolutely heinous deficiencies in even bringing this case to begin with.
There is a reason they have to recycle this judge in for the Bannon case instead of just allowing another judge to bamf in. You gotta be a special kind of stupid to do this shit.

That doesn't solve the problem that China is literally the country willing AND able to coordinate sneaking in an entire network of agents into an enemy country in order to attack and control it at a high technical level.
Several pages back we were talking about Islamic radicals coming in droves that would potentially perform mass terrorist attacks on a specific day, but China would send agents to sabotage critical infrastructure for power, communication, millitary, and so on. Perfectly keyed to ensure people are too busy rioting and looting to focus on a common external enemy.
Fuck, it probably doesn't even matter in the slightest who the votes say is the new president, there is so many shoes in the air about to drop. And I feel that there's so much pressure to trigger at least something during voting. If I had money I'm willing to lose on a wager, I'd put it on something happening within a week of voting day which is on the level of a 9/11 in at least 12 of the major cities and four 9/11s in New York alone.

In criminal cases this only works to overturn a guilty ruling. If the jury returns not guilty there is nothing the judge (or any court, for that matter) can do. An acquittal is game set for a criminal indictment.

Bro, you need to log off and relax. You have to stop doomscrolling and buying into all of this chaos. No one, not even the people in the government that you don't like, want this country to go to shit. China is no where near strong or suicidal enough to pull off this Modern Warfare 2-tier attack plan, because as soon as that happens - if by some miracle they do manage to evade the most technologically advanced airforce, navy, and defenses on the entire planet and they get away with an attack - in the next few hours NATO completely fucks them up. Being the most powerful country in the world, none of our allies want to lose us as an ally in a WW3 scenario; they would completely mob China.
I know this is hard to think about with everything going on - I'm not being sarcastic, it is a very stressful time with a lot happening - but none of these countries want war with each other. Taiwan? Yes. Ukraine? Yes. Territorial disputes? Absolutely, but these are proxy wars and none of them are going to involve American civilians. Not even going to get into mentioning how unfeasible it is to try and invade the US from any kind of military standpoint.
Islamic radical attack? Yes, that is a more likely scenario - but that's like saying you're more likely to die tomorrow in a car crash than an airplane crash. It is more likely but the odds of it actually happening are very slim. Everyone is on guard for terror attacks right now. Biden's open border policy has been paraded around again and again. RISA just had its provisions expanded significantly a few months ago basically enabling warrantless surveillance. It's a shitty bill that violates our privacy without due process, but if you're hyperconcerned about security then it should at least assuage those fears. And let's not even talk about the breakthroughs we've had in artificial intelligence over the last two years when it comes to data processing. Besides, Trump benefits the most from an attack in the next 6 months; it would make Biden look even more feeble and weak - it isn't gonna happen. A lone wolf or very small group might be able to do something - maybe - but this MW2 scenario of somehow having all of these sleeper cells coordinating perfectly without a single one of them getting detected is ridiculously out of the realm of possibility.
I am telling you this for your own piece of mind, you have to stop catastrophizing or you're gonna drive yourself insane. Americans, having known nothing else, take for granted and forget how insane the American military and their combined might is. There is a reason why we are at the top of the food chain and it isn't even close. There is no safer place to be from an enemy foreign country as a civilian, and if you're living more than 20-30 minutes outside of a big city you literally have nothing to worry about. If you're looking for something to worry about it's much more likely you get beaten by a jogger on your way to work and robbed if you're in a city (I would wait until like 2026 to see where the new crime maps end up being before living in another city rn).

The Chinese spies are absolutely everywhere in this country and have infiltrated it to its highest levels. Why would you NOT think they could do something absolutely crazy?
And also remember that even though China can't win a nuclear war against the US, they have enough nukes and range to glass every single US base in Hawaii, Japan, and the West Coast and level every major city and port there too. Their newest ICBMs (which thankfully they have very few of IIRC) can hit most of the country beside the East Coast too, so they'll glass Houston and Dallas too because there's a fuckton of critical infrastructure and bases around there which are nuke targets. Probably enough assets to sink a carrier task forces too even if they'd lose their entire navy and most of their air force too. The US would never recover from a nuclear war with China. The only thing to be grateful for in this case is that neither will China since they'll lose far more people and infrastructure and probably end up with a giant famine afterwards. China is second strongest in a nuclear war right now beside Russia.
