Karl Kasarda / InRangeTV / 2gACM / Karl-InRangeTV - satanist cuckold guntuber with cringe haircut and a Kubelwagen hates yt

modern plastic hulls are essentially water proof. they have to be because duck/goose hunting is a very wet sport. if it was paper shells they could have been spoiled if wet.
Ah, thank you. I shoot a bit, but mostly pistol and a bit of rifle. Havent fired a shotgun in ages and know very little about them. I wonder then if it was a primer issue.

Apparently Karl has been cucked yet again.

This time his old partner Ian, has decided to move into the one area Karl did halfway decent.

Ian and Blackpowder
Meh, Karl is only interested in old west related stuff. I guess the Trapdoor Springfield fits that mould, but if they bring out a Dreyse or Chassepot Karl probably just scoffs at that.

That's kind of exciting. The Era of firearms between traditional front loading blackpowder rifles and the maturation of fully modern center fire ammunition doesn't have a lot lot of easy sources to point normies to for them to understand.

I can't imagine Karl won't make some accusation about how Ian "never used to be that intetrsted in black powder content" or something.

I'm sure Karl is furiously trademarking "Black Powder Brutality" as we speak.

Can you imagine how awful the stages will be? I’ve shot some matches where entire squads would grind to a halt and back up because of one poorly planned overly complicated stage that ended up taking up so much time and they didn’t think to add a par to it. Muzzleloaders would turn that to straight clown mode.

Competitors will ragequit after having to engage the spinner at 50 yards with a flintlock after hurling kettlebells all day

LOL, would Karl's new audience of primarily Discord trannies even to be able to afford it? Much less operate it without blowing off some fingers?
Ya can get a cheap black powder setup from Cabela's. With the added benefit of them not being considered firearms so the creepy pedo types he associates with can acquire them easier.

it really benefits from reloading. similar to .45 colt in that regard, but with more savings.
That's the rule for most centerfire cartridges which aren't the everyman's go-to choices like 9mm, .45, .223, etc, etc.
I recall some old gunwriter complaining a lot about .44-40 being mildly annoying to handload because of that little bottleneck it has going for it, which feels like a compelling reason to pick .45 Colt instead.

Optionally one of those Rugers which take .45 Auto

Like someone else said earlier, you run those stages with a nerf gun and it wouldn't feel any different.
The problem with the "SASS isn't a sport" thing is that has all the trappings of a sport, so it fools approximately everyone.
That's the things I mean. I want it to be a bit more competitive, and I really want any kind of fighting gun to actually be loaded like you mean it, and I really want a round or division for cap & ball guns and muskets and shit.
Cosplaying completely optional, but welcome, show up as McFly, Tuco, fucking Revolver Ocelot or Mongo or some shit, make it fun.

Ian's new Karl isn't a fat satanist and he seems friendly, so I'm optimistic.

Trust me the price per round on 44-40 isn’t due to its lack of demand. It’s due to that absolute awful scrap rate in forming and loading a thin walled case with a tiny neck. The only saving grace it has is that it headspace’s on the rim so the tolerances on the neck are more forgiving.

I can imagine. The intent of the long and thin-walled neck is to help improve obturation, which for a blackpowder repeater makes a fantastic difference in keeping your fouling more concentrated in the bore, but for smokeless or/and revolvers only, this has no real benefit, so I very much see not wanting to bother when cartridges like .45 Colt are much less delicate.

I wonder if it wasn't some excerpts from Elmer Keith which I'm recalling?
