Also DataLounge, which used to be for homo gossip is apparently going full MiniTrue and censoring stuff critical of Israel and Biden, and apparently mods are playing users against each other. I can't figure out how the site works so I'm only going off the Reddit satellite.

DataLounge is one of these sites that never truly recovered from the 2016 election but it went full woke/progressive echo chamber after 2020.
Bear in mind that it is a website that has been online since the 90s, and at one point it had proper subforums like the Kiwifarms with different boards about different issues like Celebrities, LGBT News, Movies, TV and such but, according to legend, the owner trooned out and locked all the content prior to 2012 (rumour says he didn't delete it and that it exists somewhere) except, strangely enough, the September 11th 2001 thread with users (half of its userbase has been traditionally New Yorkers) detailing the WTC attacks in real time.
It still was a great site to read, and quite addictively so, between 2010 and 2015, but the gossip eventually dried out. I remember people were more based than you'd think, even if skewing liberal. There were different factions operating, but being an anonymous board it was difficult to know how many of the comments were not just one or two autistic faggots.
The format did allow for unforgettable characters such as Ms Patsy Ramsey, formerly of Boulder, CO everytime somebody posted anything related to injured children, or just children. They also had their own memes.
