He didn't get into the deep lore, but I was one of the people running with the "April is a homewrecker because she cheated with a man who had kids and a pregnant wife" and felt the need to Correct the Record™.

I just listened to the part where he explained he was over at the Rekeita's seven weeks ago tomorrow. April was acting weird and distant, and eventually left. This was the same day his eldest said they never wanted to go back to the Rekeita's. He doesn't know who, and refuses to even implicate Nick or Kayla lol, but someone told April when he and the kids left so she could go back over. I remember how DSP use to complain about being busy and not having time "for himself" and then going on to explain things he was doing, including taking a shower, that took his day away. I specifically remember him saying this because I made a comment that taking a shower is self care and falls under personal time, especially when he's doing it in the middle of the day. Everyone knows what it's like when you don't have time to take a shower, that's what having no time for oneself is in my mind.

DSP use to tell his audience what he was doing that was taking a lot of his time. It use to be a bunch of mundane daily things he was just not efficient at. I remember he explained how they tried to make meshed potatoes and that took a good chunk of his time and potatoes didn't even get cooked in the end, but time was spent nevertheless. Yes it always sounded like a bunch of needless excuses but he at least tried to give some context about how he was spending his limited time.

I totally agree being inefficient at daily life can cause a lot of stress and I suspect Nick has the same issue exasperated by depression and substance abuse. If his days are too short it is almost certainly because he is spoiled, detached and lazy, it's because he is waiting for things to be done rather than rolling up his sleeve and doing them efficiently.
