That was the mish he got told "You are either getting a Silver Star or you are getting a lifetime in jail." I think he said 16 Pakistani soldiers had gotten killed by the air strikes. But he was within his SOPs so he got his Silver Star. Cool stuff by Bob.
Made me laugh that he said in the SRS that he lied to his mom about how dangerous his DEVGRU job was and she was shocked when they read the citation out loud in the ceremony, and he promised to never get another Silver Star but then UBL happened. Lmao.
EDIT:
So the Fox News article about the shooting came out. It's very weird.

I quote:
"The deceased was found approximately 250 yards from the roadway, along a powerline on the residential property. Identification was not initially found on Daraev; however, his identity was later confirmed through family members and an international identification located in his vehicle."
The shooter was a Colonel. That's pretty high up. so his name will be out pretty soon, I guess. They are using the "Russian Surveillance Cover" as an explanation. But it's really weird.
Also, I quote:
"A second man, Dzhankutov Adsalan, was in a vehicle some distance from the incident and was questioned by authorities and then released. The Moore County Sheriff's office is leading the investigation."
The Colonel is going to have to prove that they were in fact not employees and had nefarious intent, since they apparently had no weapons and were released. Seth Harp is already claiming this article is taking a discriminatory slant, which, of course, it's Fox News. But Seth has a point. The burden of proof should fall with the shooter to prove that, indeed, Ramzan Daraev was a foreign agent and not a foreign worker, and he posed an immediate threat to his life somehow, since he was shot 4 times while unarmed.
If the Colonel suspected someone of espionage, I imagine the correct response is to call the local police and the file a report with the FBI to launch an investigation of espionage inside national soil. Not shoot "the foreing agent" on the spot along a powerline.
Also, r/JSOCarchive is running damage control, as expected.
