It was akin to POW treatment only she was no soldier she was a teenage girl. They utterly broke her via months of torture and rape.

You guys are far underestimating what it would actually take for CPS to take his kids away. Daddy being a sloppy embarrassing drunk is nowhere near enough. If that were the case everyone would know someone whose kids were taken, it's a common problem.

I imagine Rekieta's behavior towards his children is emotional neglect in the sense that he just doesn't want to interact with them and tries to minimize how much time he has to spend with them. While that plus his alcoholism is obviously bad and wrong, it's not CPS level stuff at all. They have a house to live in, I'm sure there is food on the table, we don't know how much time Kayla or other people spend with them, etc. They apparently go out and do various activities all the time unless Balldo is just totally lying when he complains about having to drive them places. You would be shocked at how content some people are with the state of things. It is easier to just go with the flow, put your head down and not get involved with anything serious. Confronting Nick about the state of his life would require putting in work to actually help him get back in the flow of being a normal human being.

That being said, who does he even have in his real life that cares about him? Most of what I have seen from his personal life is that everyone involved is a weirdo who spends a lot of time online the way that Nick does. They give out and sell cheap fent tests for drugs. It’s been a common thing for several years to help prevent the club kids and recreational drug users buying Molly, pressed pills or coke from OD’ing on fent. I think you can buy them on Amazon but I know you can order them online and they sell/give them out in a lot of downtown areas with a club scene.

I would hope cheap fent tests would be on the cards for the parents of five that like to snort coke and take molly.
