I've been playing on and off today and I don't think I can recommend the game to anyone when the original is so easily available on dolphin. I've added the 60 fps patch to ryujinx and it does make it feel smoother to play, but I really don't like the look of the game, especially the reflections on literally every single floor. I keep hearing that people say it's supposed to be like a magazine, but that doesn't make sense when the original two were closer to pop up books. The music isn't good and I've given each new area a chance, but have turned on the gamecube badge instead. There just isn't anything here to justify playing this one, unless you just have to fight against Prince Mush or Whacka.

I'm sure it's mostly the convenience factor for a lot of people. Emulators aren't hard to set up if you're familiar with them, but for a normie you might as well be trying to reprogram a supercomputer.

The irony is, when the sales for this are inevitably flat, Nintendo are going to assume that people don't really want TTYD and Paper Mario games like it, when it's Treehouse and their 'localisations' that people don't want

In all honesty, though, most of the art and stuff emphasized Vivian's man-ness, because those who pass for the other gender are secretly despised by these people.

That's very true. I recently had to help my brother set up emulators. He has his first PC after only ever using Macs and it was actually pretty shocking how little he knew about file systems and programs

If anyone could find or make a list of the localizations, I'd appreciate it. It'd help if I actually knew what to look for, rather than having to just read through all of the dialogue. Plus, I'd probably end up missing things.

Preferably the .msbt for the Japanese version (if it's not included in the American version) or the original script, too.

I'm still trying to setup my switch for modding, can't say how long It's gonna take but I'd be down to help. There's also a mod that changes the names of the sisters(?) can't be that hard.

It could be nostalgia bias, but if it's that bad, I'm just going to chuck it off my hard drive. It's not like the GC version has aged bad. I still want to give it a modded go though, but the shit that's been going on... how incompetent can a company be that they pick exactly the shit people get pissed of the most about.

Give normies an exact step by step guide on how to to things on the PC, and they still fuck it up somehow. Accepting 50bucks just to print out some documents feels like slut money to me, so I'm not enabling retardation anymore. That's just the tip i could tell you.
