Just as an FYI, home schooled kids are usually part of a larger organization that sets curriculum and is a part of a church or religious outfit. For example, my sister's kids are homeschooled, and they have a in-person teaching session every Monday. Helps with socialization and all that. The kids are in a group of 80-100 other kids, and the parents are absurdly tight-knit.

I think people are reading too much into the intake thing. Intake doesn’t start right when you arrive at the jail they will have you wait around until someone is ready to process you. Two ladies come in and need a lady cop for processing, there isn’t enough on staff one lady will have to wait for the other to be done. April’s last name comes first so she got to go while Kayla had to sit in the waiting room and wait her turn.


My predictions for the upcoming trials:

Kayla: suspended sentence (no prison time but if she messes up again it’s off to the slammer.) court ordered rehab, fines, and supervised visitation with the kids who are living with grandparents.

April: a few months in jail. It’s just some drug charges but unlike Kayla who can play the “wife who got sucked into it card” with a courtroom the “side piece that was just there for drugs and maybe provide services under the table” will not fly as well. Enough time to think about how she’s going to get back into Steel toe Morning.

Rekieta: he’s going away for a while. He’ll take the fall for the gun charge and that’s what’s gonna screw him.

This is all predicated on me being a nonpracticing nonlawyer and that Nick is the one who owns the gun. If Kayla owns a gun as well that could complicate things.
