Aaron has to be one of the most untrustworthy witnesses around. He has so many reason to lie/embellish:
1. Nick literally cucked him and rubbed it in on air
2. His (now 1st) ex wife has been threatening trying to cut of his visitation to their children, so he has a lot of incentive to potray himself as the "good guy" and blame Nick and co for everything.
3. He knows he fucked up and was the laughing stock until the last couple of days happen, so the more stones he can throw at nick and the more he can grift it the better
4. His ex wife also really hates that he got their children involved with the Rekietas, so another motive for him to potray himself as the only guy talking sense there and totally not being one of the druggies
5. Some of the stories he know tells happened way before he had the falling out. While this doesn't prove they are lies, it indicates that he is not a straight talker and only tells those stories when he thinks they are useful for him

His general character is also trash which doesn't help his trustworthiness. Unless there's other circumstancial evidence around (which for a lot of the stuff there is), I am not taking his word for it.
