Null talked about this last night with PPP and Warski. From talking with his own lawyer, it seems like if they don't disbar him outright they'll force him to go into rehab and do a whole bunch of other pointless crap to make him keep it.

Given that this is directly related to a court case he oversaw, he'll probably have to go the later route.

I'd say the very least that happens is he gets a public record of discipline and his license is suspended at least until he completes rehab and possibly psychiatric treatment. The only real chance of disbarment is if the firearms charge doesn't get dismissed as part of a plea bargain and he ends up convicted of it.

Drug/alcohol related shit is incredibly common among lawyers.

I am amused by people thinking Kayla is an innocent party in this. If she was as innocent as you make her out to be she would have been giving her all to look after the kids to the point of burning herself out and limiting their contact with Nick. She was as complicit in this as much as Nick was.

Not even remotely surprised a mandated reporter raised the concern. I said a week or so ago that if I was a neighbor or someone else close by to him, seeing how he looks and how he acts intoxicated, I would've done the same. It's better that a local party did it, people here can speculate about what danger the kids might be in based on our observations of Nick, but someone who sees him/the kids routinely has much better eyes on things like bruises/injuries, kids being withdrawn or acting out, etc.

Abuse isn't a shock whatsoever when you see the level of drunken malice Nick has directed at detractors for the minorest of criticism.
