I apologise if that's been already discussed - struggling to keep up with the thread - but how does it work now?
Do they just get to go home together, and talk about the case and just sit in that crackhouse? I assume kids are away and it will be sorted out with CPS, but do Nick and Kayla are just gonna be living together in the house?

Cause this would be so funny. Rekieta was drinking his life away, Kayla was pilled up watching Star Trek, they were pretty much separated by drugs. And now they have to be sober and be around each other? If that's not gonna end up in DV I'll be surprised lol.
He is not required to stay out of contact with Kayla as per conditions of his release, so presumably they'll be chilling in the crackden together by this evening.

Possession of drugs makes possession of a firearm illegal.
I don't understand the firearm charge.
Is Nick already a felon?
Having firearms and ammo in your house isn't illegal, I have over a dozen and hundreds of rounds (more probably, I reload I have buckets full) of different calibers.
Did he have guns and ammo laying around where the kids could get at it?
Or did he threaten the cops?
EDIT The alarm clock is cute and all but it doesn't answer the question :story:
This thread is moving faster than Keffals used to and some of us have to work too.

I'm almost certain this was the case. The issue with addicts that try to skirt the law this way is that they don't actually know how much cocaine is in the house. The package could have been cutting it close, but residual cocaine found throughout Balldo's Gate probably pushed it over the edge.
You don't know any drug addicts. Every coke head knows EXACTLY how much he has left. Running out is the end of their world.

In hospital, they'll give you chlordiazepoxide (Diazapam) to get over alcohol dependancy. Can he get that from his doctor?
Chlordiazepoxide (Librium) is not the same as Diazepam (Valium).

Totally different benzodiazepines.

They are both used for alcohol tapers but Librium is much more common.

Yes Nick could get it from his doctor in theory, but most doctors won't prescribe it outpatient, because it's a major malpractice risk (ie if Nick drinks while on Librium he can die ).

Nick would be wise to go on a Librium taper and stop drinking. Probably would need to go inpatient to get the Librium.

But Nick knows better than everyone. He's fine.

[Ketamine] is drug "well-off" junkies take when they don't want to admit they have a problem. It's like how painkillers were before the social stigma.

Ketamine is one of the only FDA approved drugs that acts as a rapid antidepressant (by releasing BDNF in the brain) and treats treatment-refractory depression.

That's why if you search there is (1) tons of research & clinical trials in Google scholar and (2) a massive proliferation of Ketamine depression clinics that will literally prescribe it to you.

In this year 2024 of our lord sonichu, tons of normal working people are prescribed ketamine for severe depression.

If it's not H then what cased the marks on his arms? Is he kicking it like it's 1889 and injecting his coke?
Jacking coke doesn't last long at all, so someone in the regular habit of doing that would have a lot more track marks I'd think. You'd only see him wearing long sleeve shirts.
*he took the search warrant and THREW IT ON THE GROUND*
I threw it on the ground
You must think I'm a joke
I ain't gonna be part of your system man!

What a fucking child.

can someone give me a TLDR why this guy is so popular? Why there are like 4 featured threads about him?
Got big explaining the law stuff during the Kyle Rittenhouse and Johnny Depp trials. Has been on some streams with Null. Was once a respected friend of the Farms.

Then, in the span of a few short years, he went from wholesome funny family man lawyer to Charlie Sheen.

I'm hoping against hope there's bodycam footage. Did I miss any bodycam footage? There's so much going on that it's easy to lose track of stuff.
No bodycam footage has been released yet. I did some googling on my own and found some sources that state that Police in Willmar MN. have started using bodycams on home searches etc. in 2018 few random hits on recent cases where all officers on random shooting scenes etc. have indeed been wearing bodycams on at all times.

The first appearance from today is now on the court calendar.

Sorry for the top line. I'm on my phone and it wouldn't let me edit it down. Case numbers are
Nick - 34-CR-24-342
Kayla - 34-CR-24-341

April didn't have a hearing, which makes me think that she was released and not charged.

I am really curious where the CPS stuff leads in this case.
It's similar to the firearm charge. He's getting charged because there were illegal drugs in his possession while living with his kids. There's no evidence that the kids were abused or that they were being starved (the spaghetti-o story is retarded). They live in an ostensibly upper-middle class home that is dirty but likely habitable, there's no sign of issues with utilities, they attend some form of education, and appear to be well involved in extra-curriculars.

Currently, it sounds like the kids are with family. There's nothing prohibiting either of them from contacting the kids per the release orders. They will most likely keep the kids.
