In another timeline, that might have happened. Standoff or shootout with the kids behind him screaming and his wife and side piece so drugged out they couldn't stand up.

But they caught him leaving or returning to the house in his car, not inside the house. Probably thought it was a traffic stop or something first too, so he didn't have time to call home and try and get one of the kids to dump the drugs or to get mommy and new mommy coherent enough to do it.

So the best he could do is refuse to give them access to lock (he apparently told the kids not to let cops in no matter what, as one of them answered the door and then refused to let them in) and throw a tantrum when he received the warrant.

It's amazing how nobody knows about bond works. It is complicated, but damn. He'd get restrictions on if paid in full or 10%. If he does 10%, he loses that. If he does full, he gets it all back if he doesn't break bond. If he does 10% and breaks bone, he'll owe the $45k difference.

Also, with a bailbondsman he has to also check with them weekly and they are notorious for sending bounty hunters after people that break without warning or even needing a warrant. His 'easiest' play is to pay the $50k on both of them if possible.
