OK, so they're gonna keep ignoring the issues as they've been doing this entire time. That's good. That's just what that family needs.
"The kids were never in any danger" doesn't mean that they haven't been SEVERELY affected by the environment that sounds like a straight-up drug den.
Just because Nick hasn't been beating them or held one of those guns to their heads, doesn't fucking mean that they're not being affected.

What they aren’t getting is neglect IS child abuse. The smaller children could have hurt or killed themselves when unsupervised if they tried cooking on the stove. If they tripped over the shit everywhere and hurt themselves in their disgusting house, parents that are high are unlikely to attend to them. Unless the teenagers do everything, it’s likely the children had no clean clothes to wear. If you have no money, you can’t drive and you live in a secluded area, you can’t buy groceries.

Imagine being 6 and trying to wake up your strung out parent because you’re hungry and they’re unresponsive. Are they dead? What do you do? You just learned that the people that are supposed to take care of you can’t be trusted.

Imagine being 16 and being in charge of a household all of a sudden. Your little sister hurts herself and you don’t know what to do. Parentification is horribly traumatic. Teenagers are old enough to *help* but being in charge indefinitely is wildly inappropriate. The guilt and shame you would feel if anything went wrong while you were taking care of your siblings would be immense.

Nothing, would be my guess. Rekieta seems unable to grasp that his choices will have consequences, so he probably didn't even hide his stash.
To his very little credit, at least the majority was in safes, and it appears the entirety was in the bedroom.

Now, were those safes closed? Did they have to get the combos from Nick? Would the incident report include mention of necessary forceful entry into the safes?

So I fully believe he’d buy an Oz or more at a time and not even blink.

It doesn't spoil or go bad if you don't use it immediately. An ounce looks like the sweet spot in your price schedule, assuming you'll eventually consume that much. (ignoring the anomalous 8-ball pricing) For your $1,800 you're getting 9 $200 grams, or a bundle of 28 grams for $64 each. At the ounce price, you're getting 9 grams for $576. Same logic applies to buying batteries or razor blades. Huge discounts for quantities.

In the bigger picture, you might find it worth paying more for smaller quantities so the amount you can consume in, say, a weekend, is limited. Nick had clearly moved on to the next stage.

Lol it just kinda hit me how crazy, as in brain-broken crazy, Nick is. I don't even know if it's just plain ol' narcissism, cause he is so delusional.
Like imagine you and your wife just heard your crimes could get you up to 25 years in prison - even if they for sure won't get that - still, 25 fucking years. Their oldest kid is 16. That's a long fucking time. 25 fucking years, and it could have been worse if the police/prosecutor would try to push for intent for distribution.
And your front door is fucked now.
And you know that things got so bad, the mandatory reporter HAD TO say something.
And it is all on you and your wife, you both let things out of control so bad that this is the situation you're in. The judge, acting on behalf of the society, is now empowered to treat you like a retard that shouldn't even think of drinking, and he is empowered to demand a fuckton of money from you for bail - because they don't trust you at all, because you fucked up so bad.

And then you manage to get out, and what's your concern? Ah yes, telling random people on the internet that akshually they don't know shit, and everyone is mistaken.
And then you watch with glee how a bunch of your retarded sycophants brainwashes themselves into thinking that it's a fed op and Biden did it and it's the evil legal system and the clergy taking revenge and whatever.

Like holy shitballs, i'd be deleting every single online account I had, kicking wife into one rehab, dragging myself into another one, and hope and pray I can prove to the society that I recognized my mistake and I am desperate to do everything to fix it BEFORE the trials.

25 fucking years. "No it's the law that's wrong, and it's the other people that are wrong. I dindu nuffing, im a gud boi ya honah"
I was hoping this would be a wake up call for him to sign up to every recovery program under the sun and plead his way out of a prison sentence but I can see him trying to play 4D lawfare, piss off the DA and a bunch of judges, and get hard time for what would have been a wrist slap for another first time offender.

He’s going Ty Beard this motherfucker.

Sorry man but I have to take the Singapore approach to this. Death to all druggies. Mind you, Nick would've narrowly escaped the death penalty there since the threshold is 30g.
Do you have favorite drugs you excuse, or is it death for coffee drinkers and aspirin takers too? How much of a physical or mental effect is over the line?

Kinda don't care whether Kayla or Nick was the instigator or sniffiest drug enjoyer or whatever. They both failed to protect their kids, and for Kayla it was kinda her whole job to look after them.

It's absolute madness for Nick to claim the kids were never in danger. Really troubling shit.

Both options lead to them being unfit parents.

A. He’s indifferent to the risks of harm in their household
B. He’s unable to identify and evaluate risk of harm to his children

Both lead to Nick, and Kayla, being unable to keep their children safe. In Kayla’s case, she can’t be trusted to act in the children’s best interest if she follows Nick to this degree.

Malicious or stupid, Nick is probably happy his children are out of the way. Can’t wait for the comedy stylings he offers about his court ordered parenting course.

Anybody that thinks this is a wakeup call is under the impression that Nick is rational. He is not. At least not anymore. Even before we all knew he was using drugs the dude was clearly showing signs of being an egomaniac. He thinks he can't be wrong about anything. At this very moment he is likely considering how to tell his audience what a joke the government is and how they had no right to come into his home and then subsequently making plans to bury the judge, police, drug lab, and everyone else for being idiots. He's delusional. Also the guy has permanently lost his big audience. His appeal was being the christian family man lawyer, the drunk streams weren't appealing. I have no clue why anyone could imagine that audience ever coming back after discovering he is doing a shitload of drugs with his kids in the house. That's as low as it gets.

However, you're correct that he's at best a PhD candidate and I believe he probably gave up on PhD altogether. He does have some minimal credentials for being a Tolkien grifter.
It's all to common for midwits to get the PhD stage (if you want a Masters all you have to do is show up and not be retarded) and then burn out because they are generally not smart enough to produce anything novel, don't have a strong enough character to handle the scrutiny/criticisms involved in a PhD, and/or aren't socially adept enough to fall back on playing the political game of the week to get their thesis accepted. I'd happily bet the street value of the Rackets' stash that this guy bailed because he couldn't hack it.

Glad to see Nicky won't be repenting anytime soon :story:

We got the best case scenario; Nick is still enabled to make an ass out of himself while the children are (for now at least) moved out of harm's way by a loving, caring adult that unfortunately doesn't seem to exist within the family. I dunno about you guys, but I'm all for it.
