You have to remember that Josh was internet friends with Nick. They talked off stream and such. Most importantly, when things like the lawsuit from Montegraph happened, Rekieta lied to Josh directly and then mocked him for being autistic and for the troubles the forum faced legally. Null has every reason to be much angrier at Rekieta because he was much more personally invested in the relationship than Metokur ever was.

I think it's something that comes with age life experience and the fact that Jim is slowly dying in a very painful way. Younger Jim kinda acted like Josh does now but put it in perspective. Josh is (maybe) single, just now moving back to the usa (to settle down), was kinda aimless early in life and his mother is (as far as we know healthy). Jim is married, owns a house, dying horribly, wanted kids but decided not to even though I think that's all he wanted, had to help his mother while she died/dying from something?


I have a feeling that when Josh comes back to the USA, settles down, gets married, has kids and maybe gets a college degree (online?) he will sound more and more like Jim. But again I'm just armchair psychologisting a bit here.

I feel the same way Jim does. Rekeita was kinda sorta one of us, yet at the same time was on the very brink of being mainstream. If, like me, you knew of him from years ago and watched his coverage of the Rittenhouse trial, but only heard stuff second-hand after that point, it's hard to even imagine how he's managed to sink this low in this amount of time. Jersh's gradual acceptance that this is who he is over the course of many MATI episodes was sad, but even still the recent revelations are disappointing.

I have no illusions about human will overcoming human frailty, but I still can't help but try to be optimistic to some degree.

I SUSPECT its due to the people who have wronged him. The people jim used to be friendly with that turned on him like ralph or sargon their turning on him never really impacted him and just generated him more views than anything

Jim never had to go through the shit josh did, not a knock on jim since his cross to bare is his illness I'm just giving a description of their situations, having to flee the country and get banned from payment processors and being targetted by the entire internet infrastructure for his niche gossip site so *think* that's partially why josh has to have a far stricter view of these things IE with Juju. It causes null, due to being owner of the farms, much more trouble to have these retards sperging out at him to the point of trying to cause null actual tangible harm .Also josh getting burned the time he did try to legitimately help, like Chris chan, probably sticks in his mind as well hardening his heart to these fuckups cause he's personally seen it up front. At some point you get the empathy burned out of you for these self destructive ingrates. I'm sympathetic to that if it is the case, having been burned IRL by people to a far lesser degree it really does kinda give you that "I'm tired, boss" feeling after a while.

What's interesting with rackets is that both jim and josh have the perspective of someone who is seeing someone who basically handed a golden life on a silver platter, and in jim's case the life he always wanted with a loving family with kids, just burn it all down for coke and coom.
