Three missionaries, including American couple, killed by gang in Haiti
Three missionaries, including a married couple from the US, were killed in Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince, on Thursday evening.
Davy and Natalie Lloyd “were attacked by gangs this evening and were both killed,” Natalie Lloyd’s father, Missouri state Rep. Ben Baker, said in a Facebook
post. “They went to Heaven together.”
He and Natalie Lloyd, 21, were ambushed as they left church in Port-au-Prince on Thursday evening.
“Davy went in and barricaded himself in my personal home with his wife and (mission director) Jude Montis. The gang shot that place up until they got the door busted down and shot them, and set Davy and Jude on fire.”

Good Samaritan brutally beaten after stopping to help stranded driver on I-35 in Clay County (Non-racist Missouri boomer, 72, learns about diversity the hard way)
It’s not uncommon for Jason Jones to stop and help a stranded driver on the side of the road. But the 72-year-old said he’ll probably never do it again after being beaten within an inch of his life along Interstate u35.

Pennsylvania man pleads guilty in brutal murder of Amish woman, 18

A
Pennsylvania man admitted Friday to kidnapping and
murdering an Amish woman in June 2020 while she walked home from church in Lancaster County.
Justo Smoker, 35, is facing 35-1/2 to 71 years in prison after pleading
guiltyto third-degree murder, kidnapping, and other charges in the death of 18-year-old Linda Stoltzfoos. He also faces at least 17 years in prison for violating parole related to a string of armed robberies he committed in 2006, many of which had Amish victims.
Stoltzfoos was last seen walking near her home on June 21, 2020. As part of the plea deal, Smoker led authorities in April to her body, which he buried on a railroad property behind a business where he worked.
Stoltzfoos died of asphyxia from strangulation, with a stab wound as a contributing factor, Dr. Stephen Diamantoni, the Lancaster County coroner, said.
Smoker told authorities he "approached Linda from behind and choked her with his arm under her neck and then with shoelaces until she was no longer breathing," Todd Brown, Lancaster County's first assistant district attorney, said in court Friday. "He then stabbed Linda in the neck one time to ensure that she was dead."

Wife killed, husband injured after being struck by car while crossing the road
Victims: Fredrick & Deanna Stuve
Suspook: Chillandra Bell
A driver was arrested following a hit-and-run crash along the Pacific Coast Highway that left a woman dead and her husband injured in Huntington Beach, police said Monday.
According to the preliminary investigation, the Altima ran a red light while headed northbound on the highway, striking a man and woman who were in a crosswalk and had the right of way.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified her as 48-year-old Deanna Stuve of Hemet.
The man, identified as the victim’s 50-year-old husband Frederick Stuve, also of Hemet, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition Monday.
The driver, 26-year-old Chillandra Bell of Victorville, initially sped off after the collision but stopped a short distance away, where she and an unidentified female passenger abandoned the vehicle, according to the release. They then got into an awaiting white sedan, which drove away from the scene.
Investigators were able to track down the car at a residence in Huntington Beach. They conducted surveillance at the home and arrested Bell as she was leaving.
Bell was booked on suspicion of multiple offenses, including hit-and-run resulting in death or injury, and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
Authorities said they are still working to identify the driver of the getaway car and others who may have been involved.
