there is, however it requires a court order, which typically means involuntary commitment, which is quite hard to do. from my time working these sorts of cases, in these situations it's much easier to apply for a restraining order based on domestic violence than being found incapable and thus a prohibited person by a court.

This thread is probably the only place that genuinely has concern for any of these people. If anyone decided to seek help and begin healing, I'm pretty sure we would all rejoice a little. That's what gets me.
There are some threads that are downright malicious and even wish death on their cows (I'm talking about people like Jack Scalfani, and not animal/child abusers, which are worthy of death wishes). Sure, we laugh when it's dumb, but no one here is laughing when it gets sad

If Poppy was really such a great, caring therapist and friend he'd be telling Nightwyld that he can fight his own battles, and to worry about their own extremely fragile mental state instead.
I genuinely don't see how this is supposed to make me view Kiera as a bad person. I see someone who's actually sane trying to calmly deal with Nightwyld losing their mind and insulting her for not immediately taking their side. I honestly feel bad that Kiera has to deal with this person's shit, I hope that she just stops interacting with these people, full stop. They're all emotional vampires who will turn on you the instant you question any of their bullshit; no matter how kind and understanding you are while questioning them.

Whether NW is faking or not (you can google RAMCOA and the top results are very telling), there is definitely something not right. Kriese tried her best to be an adult and reading NW’s responses are just…. At one point they talk about hiding their online activities from irl friends so deep down they know what they’re doing isn’t right.

If the only thing keeping Saige from hurting herself is being with and in this slow motion train wreck then Saige 100% needs to not be with you and Zena for a while, and find better coping mechanisms with medical intervention.
You cannot let a person who is that unstable go untreated. Saying “so long as they are with us they are fine”. You are still hung on a person who you dated for 4 months over discord. Saige deserves better. Saige deserves proper help.
Maybe they are used to Saige’s outbursts, I know I’m starting to see how toothless they are.

Had a weird thought just now that I wanted to try to flesh out, it’s probably one that’s been said in other ways in this thread but something really clicked here. It’s a long ramble that I wanted to see if I could structure so I’ll give the TL;DR here: The only reason Poppy is calling NF a rapist is because it gives him a way to continue interacting with NF, and Poppy is addicted to that and that alone.

A lot of Poppy’s behavior makes more sense to me as addictive behavior. He gets addicted to attention from specific people, where the attention he seeks is not guaranteed, so there’s a rush from the riskiness of it all. It’s like when Bossmanjack makes a big win: if he has 30,000k in the bank, making 10, 20, even 100 dollar bets isn’t fun anymore, BMJ needs to keep feeling the extreme: either see his money explode or vanish, any stable in-between plan is too boring.
For the sake of structure, I’ll discuss “boring stability” and “winning/losing” separately.
Zena embodies these boring “small bets” for Poppy. Zena is too stable in the sense that she’s always going to be there, no matter how bad the screaming matches get. There’s no risk of “losing it all” with her, so there’s no dopamine to be had. Now Poppy needs the dopamine, so cuck chair and coloring book for Zena.
We’ll pivot to NF for winning/losing. NF was (and still is) the $1000 slot machine for Poppy that can flood and drought the dopamine receptors. Poppy could never have NF guaranteed. From what I’ve seen from following this thread, NF had the closest thing to a life outside of the PZ realm. NF needed Poppy the least. NF had the biggest risk of leaving.
When talking about “winning”, the only real goal is the attention, whether it’s positive or negative doesn’t matter that much. We have logs on logs of Poppy trying to squeeze “something” out of NF. Could be sex, could be a fight, could even be getting NF to type *headpats you* by RP’ing a child. Any of these things get Poppy’s brain so revved up that he’ll send frantic rapid fire messages for hours to achieve any of those goals. It’s all winnings for the Poppy brain.
I think “Losing” might be the key thing that made all the post breakup behavior make sense. The key difference between Poppy and the addicted gambler is that when the gambler loses all his money, he knows he can squeeze money from somewhere and get right back in there. Poppy’s slot machines are people that can walk out of his life forever, and now he can’t play anymore. I have a much easier time believing the extreme emotional lows Poppy felt after NF left and even distressing physical symptoms if I don’t see it as rape trauma, but rather addiction withdrawals. If Poppy accepted them for what they were and tolerated them (extremely big if), he might have been able to move on.
But we have to remember what “winning” is: just attention, good or bad be damned. Winning is NF being present in Poppy’s life in some capacity. If NF can’t be Poppy’s partner, now NF is his rapist. This is his plan to keep NF in his life forever.

He replayed it enough times to notice one instance near the very end of the interview where it kind of sounds like NF said “him” instead of “them”. I think what spelling it out did, for me at least, was shed light on the bizarre rape accusation. It was hard for me to understand why he was insisting on something that looks absurd to all parties outside of his “hoeless cult”.
The “addicted to NF” angle clears that up because now I understand that it’s not a matter of Poppy following some kind of seriously distorted moral compass. There is some kind of compass in his brain, but no matter how you turn it, it just chooses to point towards to the N. (We all know what the N stands for).

I hate this idea that people are somehow causing Saige to self harm by stating the reality of the relationship he's in. It's so manipulative, it's the same exact tactic abusers use "stay with me or I'll hurt myself, and it'll be your fault." I really don't think anybody wants Saige to self harm and it's horrible to imply that unless you lie to Saige's face you're responsible for his self harm. And yeah, if Poppy really did care about Saige's self harm, he would tell Saige to take a break from the internet and to get actual help, not asspats from sycophants on Twitter.
How do you make Saige's self harm about how much other people want you Poppy? Nobody on this thread wants you, Milena doesn't want you, Noehflake doesn't want you, etc. People want Saige to leave you because of the damage his relationship with you is causing to himself, and people are pointing out how badly you treat him.
It's really telling that Saige thinks it's funny to mock someone for having an abusive mother. I used to feel somewhat bad for him, but tbh at this point I hope he becomes Poppy and Zena's live in scapegoat. They all deserve each other
