I can see it biting him in court becasue if he is asked about why he is in rehab (drugs and alcohol) because it would make the drugs in his house look more like HIS drugs and HE was endangering his kids. Rehab would help mitigate his sentencing if found guilty. Nick is shooting for a not guilty verdict because he knows he will be a felon regardless of plea deal. PPP and others know he his fucked and he should be scrambling for any chance as mitigating his sentencing or getting a plea.
