1. Identity?
I proceed with the claim that FFG's father's name is George Perkolidou (first proposed by
@Unexpected Dong's
post). Evidence for this comes from several family member Facebook accounts.
Carol Feldman (i.e., FFG's mother) is friends with a George Perco:

I assume
Perco to be an abbreviated form of
Perkolidou and cite two pieces of evidence. First, George and Carol are friends with Rodopi
Perkolidou (below), who is also associated with Piraeus, Greece (i.e., FFG's birthplace):
Second, George and Carol are friends with Myrsini Skoulikides (see above). In a separate post on Carol's Facebook account (below), Myrsini asks Carol to have her brother call her. I assume she's referring to George (

Myrsini's married name would appear to be Skoulikides. Myrsini passed away in January 2024 and is listed as Myrsini Perkolidou in her obituary (
link). I assume Perkolidou is her maiden name (and given Canadian laws, probably her legally recognized name):
George Perkolidou was born August 7 (birth year unknown, though discussed below). Evidence for this comes from FFG's discussion of the death of her dog Ollie. Ollie died on August 8, 2022, the day after FFG's father's birthday.

2. Two Paths to Egypt
FFG has consistently stated that her father was born in Egypt, that her father (indeed, her father's family) comes from Egypt. The circumstances surrounding their experiences in Egypt, however, take two, mutually incompatible paths, which I will consider: (1) the family had an established presence in Egypt, likely part of the Greek diaspora population, (2) the family evacuated to Egypt from Greece during World War II. I will also consider the third alternative: the family was not in Egypt.
2.1 Narative One: "My dad's family comes from Egypt"
As discussed, in the first narrative FFG’s paternal family is from Egypt.

There is no reason to necessarily doubt FFG’s claims. Egypt had a robust Greek population from Roman occupation until the 1952 coup and the rise of Arab nationalism (
link). In this version, the family would be assimilated into Egyptian culture.
FFG, for instance, claims that her paternal grandfather was a truck driver who “drove the length of Egypt delivering to Bedouins.”

Finally, the best evidence of assimilation would be adoption of Egyptian Arabic for day-to-day language usage. FFG claims that her father's acquisition of Egyptian Arabic was so pronounced that it influences his Greek production, resulting in a "crazy" accent when the family moves (back?) to Greece.

It is, however, interesting to me that FFG doesn't address this aspect of her family identity until 2022 (that is, a year after Chantal/Foodie Beauty begins dating Nader, an Egyptian resident in Quebec). Of course, it could be the case that she had and that those videos/streams were subsequently removed from the channel.
2.2. Narrative Two: "They had to flee"
In the second narrative, the family flees Greece following Axis invasion in World War II, finding refuge in the Greek diaspora community in Egypt, before returning to Greece at some point following the War.

I will first state that per this narrative, her father's family is not actually "from Egypt." They took refuge in Egypt. They lived in Egypt until it was safe to return to Greece. They returned to Greece. As refugees, they would have virtually no connection to the majority population, less incentive/opportunity to culturally assimilate, and be wholly dependent on the Greece diaspora community in Egypt.
Secondly, unless FFG is making the claim that there were Jews in her paternal line, her family was not fleeing due to The Holocaust (not directly, anyway). Axis atrocities in Greece are not to be minimized, and there were plenty of non-Jewish Greeks who fled, and plenty of non-Jewish Greeks who perished due to the Axis occupation.
In this second narrative, FFG's claims of adoption of Egyptian cultural practices (e.g., prohibitions against consumption of pork, kinship term conventions, association with the Bedouins, etc.) are far less likely. Even her father's acquisition of Egyptian Arabic is to be viewed with suspicion, as the family would be more isolated within the diaspora (particularly refugee population).
This becomes further complicated if we consider 1952 as George's birth year (speculated above) and 1952 as also being the year of the Egyptian coup, rise of "pan-Arab" nationalism, and general expulsion of non-Muslim/non-Arab populations from Egypt (

2.3 They aren't from Egypt
This is purely speculative, but I suggest that FFG's claims of Egyptian Greek heritage was fabricated to legitimize her claims of having "inside knowledge" of Nader and his friends (likely from Egypt, as is he).
Evidence for this comes from a Facebook tribute post to Myrsini Perkolidou (i.e., George's likely sister) by her granddaughter, posted the day after Myrsini's passing (

While there is nothing definitive here, the granddaughter lays out some of her remarkable achievements and experiences. Her Greek heritage is touched on. While mention is made of her grandmother's immigration to Canada in 1962, no mention is made of say a period of time in Egypt.

This makes sense given that he already has family (i.e., Myrsini et al.) already established in Quebec. Given Chris Feldman's claim that his (maternal) grandparents were born in Montreal (see above), I propose that George came to Canada in the mid-1970s, met Carol, and that they possibly married while in Canada.
They subsequently moved to Greece and lived there for 10 years before returning to Montreal following the birth of FFG -- by 1988 at the latest (to be discussed in a future post).
4. In Montreal
As discussed, little information is available on George, particularly his time in Canada. He primarily serves as the reference point for FFG’s purported knowledge of Greek and Egyptian “olive” culture. She has alluded to her father having a temper, which she has inherited: “I am my father’s daughter… 0 to 100 real fucking quick.”

Interestingly, there has been little discussion of the father since Carol's passing. One speculates whether the two were separated, his role in her end-of-life care, and his coping following her death. Mostly, we have heard of FFG's coping (or lack thereof).
