This is how I read it. I've watched the portion of the stream after Aaron came on but before Sean did a couple times now, and he changed his storytelling when he gets into bullshit lies. When he's telling the truth, he's speaking in a factual manner to answer the question with as much factual detail as possible. When he's lying is he goes on rambling tangents and speaks to things he couldn't know, like other people's state of mind.
Things he absolutely lied about:
1. How much he used drugs
2. How hard he tried to get them to pull up
3. How in love he was
4. How in love Kayla was
5. Kayla's involvement in the family dysfunction
I take the sex stuff mostly at face value. A lot of the stuff he's lying about he's either exaggerating or downplaying, depending on the topic, but I think it's unlikely he's making stories up wholesale.
People are quick to call him a simp for falling for Kayla but I think that's part of his play to seem like the good guy. I think he couldn't give less of a fuck about her. I think the inverse is equally true. I think this story was carefully crafted by him because the idea of star crossed lovers being tragic victims of circumstance is such a good story. The audience wants it to be true. I think the real reason he got out, and the real reason his mugshot isn't up there with the rest of them, is because his ex wife told him point blank to cut the shit or lose the kids, and the man made the first good decision in his entire life.
